Help! Reservations seem impossible to get for Nov 2015

Question:
So I'm eagerly awaiting our window opening on June 1st (we arrive November 28th). I've been watching online in the mornings to see how quickly CRT and BOG reservations go as soon as the window opens up (today opened up for Nov 23), and within 3 minutes the only thing I theoretically could get was a reservation for 2 for dinner.
Is this typical? Or hopefully just because these are the few days before Thanksgiving?

Our niece's birthday will be on 11/29 so i'm wanting to do anything I can to secure a reservation for breakfast or dinner for 11/29, but it's for 8 people! Any thoughts? Anyone used bot programs, and if so, what was your experience? I hate to go that route, but i'm desperate
I had no trouble getting CRT at my 180, but it was 7 days in to my trip. You may have trouble on day 2 of your trip. But I can tell you I did get every ADR I wanted at the times I wanted which was shocking, so there is hope.

I am seeing a lot of Biergarten (did I spell that right? ) slots open this morning. I haven't noticed if they were around earlier because I wasn't looking for it, but it was one of the names mentioned by the CM who told me there were issues with a glitch. Still nothing open in Akershus or Ohana. :-( I was holding out hope that I would see openings at least at Akershus when and if the glitch was fixed.

Yes, Biergarten's glitch is now fixed. I was thrilled to book the Biergarten this a.m. for Nov. 25th. The bad news is that Biergarten & Teppan Edo are being held back starting on Fri., Nov. 27th (Candlelight Proc. Pkg). I had CM check for both of those thru & incl Fri., Dec. 4th. 12/4 is our 11th day, so obviously it is not due to either being booked solid. So Epcot rest. booking starting 11/27 is impossible! NO advantage for 180 + 10!! So frustrating!!

Biergarten and Via napoli have lots of openings today that were NOT there the past week!

I really think they must hold some back. I've read that they do on multiple boards but when I called to make a "My First Haircut" reservation the other day I asked the CM and he said that wouldn't make sense and there would be no reason to do so. However, on my ADR day I logged in at 4:59 CST and could get nothing for Via Napoli or Beaches and Cream (on the 6th night of my trip) but around 8:00 PM that night all of a sudden there were multiple tables. I guess some people could have canceled but I wouldn't think that many people would cancel with their trips so far out.

I've actually been thinking that it may be the bots that certain sites are using to continually search for ADRs. It is possible for them to gobble the ADRs up and hope that people pay their $8 for them, then they cancel it.
I also think I've been thinking about it too much...

Is that how the sites work though? The only one I have really looked into, does not work like that. They do not reserve anything - (wouldn't they need a booked stay to do so?) - they explain that you are paying for the alert only and the reservation may be gone by the time you click it.

I agree that it is not how they say it works, but it is possible. You do not need a booked stay to book an ADR at 180 days...

but it is easy to see how they can grab the ADRs, and then send the notification as they release the ADR

Those sites don't actually reserve the ADRs, they just alert you that they are available. You pay your $8 whether you get the ADR or not.

I saw availability for CRT a few hours after the window opened for a few of my dates. BOG dinner wasn't available when my 180+ opened, for every.single.night. of my 7 day trip. Lunch was available about 5 minutes in, but that was about it (and only for one day).

I don't think that's how it works. That definitely wasn't the case for my situation either because both ADRs I was looking for were in my 180 +10 which those sites can't get to anyway.

I actually don't think that is how it works either, but something strange is going on, and it may have something to do with sites continually searching Disney's site...
Usually easy ADRs have been insane to get (H&V or anything at HS)...

I agree with you. That's why I lean towards some being held back. I think if that is what they are doing it's a double-edged sword which would be why they wouldn't tell people that is the issue. On one hand it helps those guests with a shorter day smack in the middle of someone else's longer stay but it stinks for those people that get up early to make their ADRs only to find what they really want isn't available. I'm wanting a BOG dinner reservations at any time during my stay so I'm frustrated too. Hopefully, things will open up and everyone will get what they want. Pixie dust for everyone :)

They have to be holding back availability! @ 6 am this morning the CM looked for Biergarten & Teppan Edo for Dec. 4th--that's 190 days out!--& NO availibilty for lunch or dinner @ either! Impossible!!! My online search for 6 pm for Dec. 4th showed BOG 5:55; CRT 6:40; Ohana 6:25; Akerhus 6:40; Chef M's 6:15. YET these showed nothing avai: Epcot ones: Biergarten, Teppan Edo,
Coral Reef, Chefs de France, Rest. Marrek., Nine Dragons, Rose & C, San Angel, Tokoyo D, Tutto I, Via Napoli. And Liberty TT &
Hollywood & Vine were also unavailable @ 190 days out! They canNOT be fully booked. Makes for everyday searching :(

With all these ADR's being fully booked or unavailable, I'm now thinking my not-so-crowded week in November (14-21st) is going to be jam packed. And that FP+ is going to be a joy to book as well (I'm sure Anna / Elsa FP+ will be tough)

LTT has not opened for reservations because of the planned renovations and uncertain timeline. But that gives me hope that H&V isn't even available at 190 days out, because that really indicates they are holding those back or there is this glitch of some sort.

Those Epcot ones have all been Candlelight Processional package restaurants typically. I mean, nothing has been announced yet for this year so we don't really know anything for certain, but I'm sure that has everything to do with why you're not finding availability at any of those you listed in Epcot.

Hang in there and don't let it frustrate you too much...I'm sure they'll open up soon. :flower1:

We will be there the same week. I doubt it'll be jam packed. The crowd calendars went up a little when FD was announced, but typically during FD time restaurants are more booked....and there are glitches (according to CMs). Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I don't think it's going to be too crazy. Keep in mind...it's not summer :) Glad my boys decided they don't want to meet many characters this trip, Anna and Elsa are pretty low on the importance list in our house.

I'm going the 13-21 as well. I really don't think it'll be insane. I've gone during spring break in March and I didn't think it was that bad. If it's less crowded then that week, I'll be happy.
