Wine and Dine 2015

Anybody know what the room discount rate is/was for host resorts, and if you already have a reservation, can runDisney change it and give the discount? Also, do they make you pay the entire amount at the time of the reservation or do they do like the Disney travel company an give you up to the 45 day mark? This is probably after the fact now, but for future reference. I'm hoping to make my second RD race be the 2017 Marathon.

When I called last week They couldn't change my original reservation at POFQ to the runDisney rate nor could they change my reservation. They booked me a room at CBR over the phone and I paid the $200 deposit, then had to go online and cancel my original POFQ booking. CBR was the only moderate with rooms left at the RD pricing.

Ugh. So - is anyone planning to do both MNSSHP AND MVMCP?
Yep! I'll have my annual family trip to MNSSHP on Halloween, then MVMCP the next week, after W&D. #alltheparties party:

Will you know if your Proof of Time is accepted before the cutoff date?
Unfortunately no - you really own't have an inkling until waivers and corrals are released and you can see where you're seeded.

I know! I'm always so worried there will be some glitch where they go to verify my POT, and the website for whatever race I ran is down--and TrackShack just figures that since they can't verify they'll put me in last corral :(

BTW, did anyone see my post earlier--If POT is due by Tuesday August 4--does that mean we have to have it in BEFORE August 4, or can we submit it any time on August 4, up 'till midnight? Or end of business day?

Airfare purchased, Park Hoppers purchased for myself, and gift cards in hand to pay for CSR!! We are completely official now!! :mickeyjum

Now we can completely turn our focus onto our whirlwind 15 day Cali trip that is only 3 weeks away! Going to see as much as we can and spend 3 nights at PPH:goofy:

Hopefully I can find some time to run during those 2 weeks!

RunDisney is actually a division of the Walt Disney Travel Company so even if you book a room only, it is a $200 deposit and balance due at 45 days. And I can't repeat this enough - for those of you that are Disney visa holders, rundisney reservations fall under the package 6 months 0% interest perk!

Sadly, while I was at Star Wars Weekends we had some family tragedy and not one but two of my younger family members ended up in the hospital, days apart. It is looking like both will be ok now, thankfully. But it did make me say to hell with how much it costs, I am bringing my little brother along! SO, now I need to add a ticket for him and all of that good stuff. I have an AP so I hadn't tried the ticket website and now I can't find the password. I remember for TOT it was right in a confirmation email. I guessed at it and it said I was wrong lol. Can anyone tell me where to find it?

I'm glad to hear that they will be okay.

As for the discounted ticket passcode, I didn't see it on any of my receipts or confirmations for the Wine & Dine Half or the Jingle Jungle 5K. I would try the portion of how it appears on your credit card bill, after the ACTIVE* (just a guess, because that is what it has been in the past).

It's in the confirmation e-mail that you get from Active. Second to last paragraph from the bottom in the body of the message (not the "fine print").

Glad to hear they're on the mend. Heaps of pixie dust to your family pixiedust:

Thank you for the kind words everyone :grouphug:

This is all I have in mine :( I should note I was the one that had the early registration mishap and they gave me the password link to register. Maybe that is why?

Hooray - password issue resolved! Thank you @Keels!

Now, can we talk about how I am arriving the day after Boys II Men and leaving the morning Hanson plays??

We are arriving on the 4th and might change our schedule so we can see them. I am cool with seeing Sister Hazel on Thursday though too.

I am seriously considering calling in the morning to see if our hotel is available on the 10th! I mean, drinking an mmmhop ipa while listening to mmmbop...that has to throw time and space out of whack or something.

Officially made my resort reservations today. I call runDisney and "Aaron" gave me a quote for an 8 day with park hopper and a room at CBR, BUT he also recommended I check the prices on the website because they "have some good deals". I got 8 day ticket with PH and a riverview at POFR for almost $700 LESS than what he quoted me for the ticket and CBR!

Bummer, I was hoping to find something magical but I only see the same ~$220-225 a night rate that Orbitz had. :( It seemed like the runDisney rate was like $155 a night?

My active.com confirmations are the exact same as @AThrillingChase 's. There are only a few short lines, not paragraphs.

According to my facebook "On This Day", runDisney announced the 2011 W&D ½ and 5K maps. Can you imagine having the course maps this early (granted in 2011, the race was in September), but still so far in advance?

I wonder if he slipped and quoted you the non-discounted price when you called rundisney? A difference of nearly $100 per night at a moderate resort would be about the standard 25% discount on the Disney website.

Well... I decided I didn't want to stay at CBR (since that is the only runDisney moderate left), so I booked POFQ River View via Orbitz. :) Also booked our flights (Jetblue). Ouch, poor credit card! That is a downside to booking Orbitz instead of through Disney... payment is due now. But I'll be much happier about it in November, I know, when all we have left to pay is tickets and food.

We stayed at CBR in 2007, and it was ok. But I stayed at POFQ back in 2000 when it was still just PO and at POR twice in the 90's when it was still DxL, and really wanted to do one of those again since it has been a long time since I was at either of them. Plus SO has stayed at neither one (but was with us at CBR)... the DxL trips were when I was in HS before I met him and PO was a surprise visit by just me for my Dad's 50th birthday.

So I flipped a coin and decided I'd rather the smaller resort with the first bus pickup. Plus we were just in DL for Tink earlier in May and it reminded me how much I like the FQ theming when we were in New Orleans Square. :D

I guess now I can try and get whatever scraps of dining reservations are left now that we have a hotel. :D Starting to feel more real with a hotel and a flight now! Plus the training plans start in a little over a month. The 2015 plans for Wine & Dine still aren't posted but I am sure I can figure out the dates for this year based on the 2014 ones. ;) I did the beginner one for Tink. I am going to do the experienced just to finish in the upright position for W&D.
