Hocus Pocus coming to Halloween party

Really? I'm 29 and I know tons of people who love this movie! They do showings around halloween at the local movie theaters and they always sell out. My 3 year old even loves this movie and used to request it every time she got to choose a movie. I'm so excited about this!!!
Every Halloween the movie is on TV as well.

We are big enough Hocus Pocus fans that this would be a major reason for us to get tickets to the party...I know so many people who love the movie, I definitely don't think it's stupid or dated!!

I think it's a cool type of throwback. They are developing a sequel if I'm not mistaken. The regular villains will still be there.

I believe a sequel was rumored and all three Sanderson sisters are willing to reprise their roles. I love this news, actually. Hocus Pocus is a yearly Halloween tradition for me, and I love the incorporation of those characters. Disney has a deep bench of characters at their disposal not named Anna and Elsa.

I think it's a good idea. The movie is on TV pretty much every year, and many people still love those characters. I don't see how it'd be dated.

Those who don't get the reference will find three generic Halloween witches anyway.

We are big Hocus Pocus fans here. I could see us buying ticket for it. Like others, we know a lot of people that love this movie. fall time, my FB page lights up with status updates that people are watching.

Agreed. We were planning on skipping this fall due to going to Disneyland in November. However, after this announcement yesterday, I made a few calls and we are now booked for the first party weekend in September. We decided we just had to reprise our roles. :banana:69305_493300366806_2647595_n.jpg

So stupid. So many don't even know what that movie is anymore.

Really? I think it's genius, a lot of kids that grew up watching this in the 90's are now parents. What better way to convince them to take the kiddies to a Halloween Party then appealing to their nostalgia. Sure the kids may not know who they are, but the parents are the ones with the wallet.

I'm 25 and I live for this movie! Winnie Sanderson is my spirit animal. "What another glorious morning...makes me sick!"

If Bette Midler is there, I'll be attending a Halloween party for the first time in about 8 years! o_O

I think it's the BEST Halloween movie ever, and a lot of people still know. I'm 26 my son is FOUR - and he'd know who they are before Lady Tramaine or others to be honest .... I honestly can't believe it took them this long to add them to the party. We are going in November for our LONG vacation, but am seriously contemplating a quick weekend trip ... JUST because of this, lol!

Guess I am the opposite. Haven't watched the movie in years, probably over 10. It wasn't a bad movie but not something I see as anything special. I don't think its going to be a reason most will go to the party. Its a 20 min stage show with Disney villians also mixed in. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Seems like a very odd choice to me. Then again as a child of the 80s, I love TRON and 'Flash Gordon' ... so y'know people in glass houses

I think it's more of a 90s thing, and just as I got to see my Transformers and TRON Legacy, it only makes sense that 90s pop culture is making it's resurgence, which would fit with the possibility of a Hocus Pocus sequel in the works
