Discount updates in park

Yeah!!!!We are here. Ok I will update as we go. No discounts with AAA Inside WWOHP. There is discount with just showing AAA card at the Leaky Caldron. Hint find the things you want to buy and see if they sell it in the Universal Store on city walk. You can get your AAA discount with your card and sheet proving you bought your tickets from AAA. If the Universal store does not have it. You are stuck paying full price. You can use your AP for discounts at Leaky Caldron also.

You need to speed at least
$ 50.00 dollars for AAA discount.

They didn't allow it at the wandshop anymore? we used it there in Jan this year...what a bummer

I was able to use the American Express discount last Friday, may 22nd......once at the Italian Restaurant near The Mummy and also used it at Cinnabon....I was asked both times to show the app on my phone.....I had a screen shot of the discount statement and showed that first time and was given the discount....second time I did not have my phone on me because it was in a backpack from a ride.....and the cashier gave it to me anyway......I found the discount statement on line and took a picture of it, saw that on here. I could never find it on the app on my phone.

I tried this on my Android phone:

Did a Google search for "Universal Studios American Express"

• The 3rd option came up as AMERICAN_EXPRESS - Universal Orlando (it will say Mobile Friendly)
• I clicked on that and it took me to the mobile app and the screen that has all of the AMEX offers!
• Added as a shortcut and the icon will take you right to the page.

I know I am explaining this in simple terms, I don't know all the technical lingo, sorry!

No. I should have been more clear. Sorry. They would not give discount on merchandise in WWOHP but did give the AAA discount at Leaky Caldron in Diagon Alley by just showing AAA card only. I was surprised.

Are there any limitations as to where AP discounts work?

I would like to know the Premier AP discounts, if anyone knows them.

preferred and premier AP are valid for food and merch discounts in the parks, hotels and city walk.

preferred allows a 10% discount.
premier allows a higher discount.

if you charge of a product is $1.
you can get a discount on that.

So you can use AP discounts at Leaky Cauldron, but not at gift shops in Potter areas? Last year I remember being told no Amex discount at Ollivander's because they were owned by Warner Bros.

Some clarification on AP and Amex discounts in Potter areas would be great.

I just ask everywhere if I can get a discount with my AAA card. No one's ever rude about it, and the qualifications change so much, you never know

I have used both my AP and AMEX discounts widely throughout Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, never a problem, I do make a habit of mentioning especially with the AMEX, some TM's will take notice of the card, some won't, so I just make practice of mentioning... with that said, I have not made a purchase at Ollivander's, so I cannot help you there... hopefully someone else can!

It's been 2 years since we've done a purchase at Ollivander's. At THAT time, you could use the AAA discount, as long as the purchase was over $50 (not hard to do on wands, haha)
But, that WAS 2 years ago, the rules might have changed 10 times since then.
