I agree it looks like a very special resort!
We went to Hawaii in 1992, never thought we would go again. However, the cruise looked too good to pass up, and then the DVC resort won over our reluctance. When we stay in Aulani, we will have stayed in every DVC resort!

We have 5 nights in Poly before the Member cruise....so those 2 are the DV?c resorts we have not stayed in yet!

We're hoping to stay there too......sometime in our next year of WDW visits.

They called from the airport about 1/2 hour ago.....still needed to get their luggage and catch the shuttle.
They should be calling later after they get their room (DS and DDIL
). And we have DGD for the week. I will need a vacation after that.
I'm sure the gals will have fun. We do our birthday trip in Jan. We got a 1 bedroom this time.

Thank you Dan! Your statement that your knees will hold you resonates in my mind as I head out with just a cane. My knees would not hold, so it is taking me longer than some to feel comfortable. My PT will be concentrating on balance, I need to feel more comfortable.

They loved it! The resort is gorgeous......lots to do. They spent a lot of time laying around on the beach.
But also booked a snorkeling excursion while there. And they booked a Pearl Harbor excursion before they left with them.
Food was the only thing they wished they would have done differently. They wished they would have gone shopping before they arrived.
They did do the luau next door and also dined for lunch once and dinner once at the sit down restaurant. Did the character buffet breakfast once.
They went across the street to a couple of restaurants. Prices were very high for everything. There is an ABC store across the street.
They did not rent a car......if you are, you will be find.

Bobbi, Glad to hear you are doing well and your recovery is coming along great.
I've never been to Aulani but have been to the Marriott Kolina and loved the area. I'm trying to convince my DH to return to Hawaii and stay at Aulani this time. He hasn't said yes yet, because of the long flight, said we could go to the Caribbean and be on the beach within a 4 hour flight, we will see I'm still hoping. BTW, it's good you are renting a car, there's lots to see and do on Oahu.

Yes, it's the flight home that I least like to think about as we plan the September trip. We're sailing and then staying with 4 good friends in Aulani, so that's what I concentrate on!
