Yikes! We've been watching the news about all the storms! End of the world weather! Take care..

We have had a horrendous weekend in Texas. All 4 major cities~Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin~were flooded with tremendous devastation in our beautiful Hill Country. Our Texas skies looked like a Florida thunderstorm at ESPN ALL weekend....

Yikes! We've been watching the news about all the storms! End of the world weather! Take care..

Been pretty rough; we had another 5" last night. :umbrella: Every river and creek in our county is flooded; schools been cancelled the last 2 days. Yet, we've been lucky. My heart goes out to Hill Country. :sad2: :tink:

After historic record breaking rains this month (the most rain EVER recorded in Texas for May) we may be needing this....:rotfl2:

You might need 2!

:rotfl2: We might...another huge storm headed our way arriving in a couple hours. A couple of my friends on Facebook sent me a "warning"...a "doozie of a storm". :scared1: Our town had a total of 43.18 inches in ALL of 2014. To date, for 2015...30.75 inches....and judging from the radar we'll add another 4-5" later. :umbrella::umbrella::umbrella: :tink:

We could use some of that rain!! send it up here! lol

Wish we could! We got "hit" again this evening with heavy thunderstorms...tornado 2 blocks from my sister's house! :scared: We're glad this has put an end to our drought (since 2013 ) but enough is enough. :rotfl2: When I read the quote, "It's rained enough in the MONTH OF MAY to cover ALL of Texas with 8" of water  I decided....okay...we need to be done! :lmao: You have NO idea how good the weather forecast for tomorrow looks with "0% chance of rain"! :yay::yay::yay: :tink:

Not Disney related but this is my pic of the day. While those storms were rumbling outside, we were enjoying DGD's dance recital...especially the Parent's Dance when she and her Dad wore this :goodvibes:

Cyndiella...:yay:...glad you got some rain! Our garden is just about drowned :rotfl2: but DH stays busy gathering what's available! :Pinkbounc Nothing like those fresh vegetables! Even got a little pool time today...not as much fun as the slide at the Bay Lakes Tower but DGD's enjoyed it none-the-less!

Some of you have followed the news in Texas last week of the flooding, especially in our Hill Country. Today was Awards Day at our Jr. High which I attended with DD & S-I-L for DGD. During the program, the principal gave a special "Hero's Award" to 7th grade twins. Along with their mother, they were visiting their grandparents who own a home in Wimberly....until the flood came. The flash flood began flooding the house so they moved to the 2nd floor only to see the water continue to rapidly rise (final total was 40 FEET of water in the house). Making a long story short, these 2 young men tied bed sheets together and, with the help of their mother, managed to get to the roof of the house. The bed sheets were tied to the chimney and they proceeded to assist their elderly grandparents and mother onto the roof where they waited for rescue during the pouring rain, lightening, thunder and continued rise of the water. After 2 hours, the rescue boat arrived. There was not a dry eye in the cafeteria when the principal finished the story. :sad1: I can't help but think, along with continued prayers to God, our Father, that this mother (and father who'd stayed behind in Bellville) was "wishing on a star" for the safety of her family....as I do when I stare at the Castle and hear, "When You Wish Upon A Star"....

Had a nice visit with my foot doctors nurse today, talking about DW. :goodvibes She asked me what my favorite meal was...which got me thinking about the Prime Time's "Mama's Pot Pie" :cloud9:...
