We got free tickets to six flags magic mountain and DS loves thrill rides, but not the lines and wait that comes with them. :headache: I tried googling, but can't figure out if MM offers any accommodations or alternative wait areas like DLR does? Anyone have any experience? How did it go? Do I need to bring documentation of his disability or known issues to present?

I just wanted to update this thread, in case anyone else needs info in the future. I tried calling guest services, but couldn't get a live body, so I submitted a contact form on the website a week before I thought we would go. I described our situation and my son's needs, said we use disney's DAS with success and asked if they had a program or accommodations like that so I could decide if a trip was doable and prepare properly for it. Someone wrote me back a very vague "yes, we have a program like that" and directed me to go to guest services when we arrived.

We arrived and went to guest services, said my son's disability and the accommodations he needed (and why). I also offered diagnosis paperwork. The desk person said the program (EAP or something??) was only for those with service animals and physical disabilities, and they had nothing for people with developmental disabilities. I explained that I had emailed previously and was told there was a program for him, else we would have never come because he can't handle the typical line standbys. They asked who it was and luckily I was able to bring up the email on my phone. She went to the back and came back with the program thing. Their system works a bit different, they allocate a wait time for the day (in our case, it was 60 minutes), you wait that time, then go in the exit of any ride, they write the time, you ride, and then in 60 minutes from the time they wrote you can go on another ride. The pass is for 80% of their rides (all the big ones), so it's impossible to ride everything in one day. And even though the posted wait is shorter than the 60 minutes (most were 45 minutes or less that day), we still had to wait the 60 minutes each time. Oh, and even though it took us over 20 minutes to get in the gate and through guest services, we had to wait another 60 minutes for the first ride.

Thankfully I had emailed in advance, and thankfully my son wasn't terribly impressed so he wasn't sad about only going on 5-6 of the big rides that day. And I'm glad my tickets were free and I've had my MM fill for another 15 years. ;)
