Actually... I was gonna post the la times article about bands and Disneyland as well...

There is one telling line where they basically admit why they aren't gonna put bands at Anaheim: people don't stay long enough for them to gain anything from using them....because people are there 4 or less days.

That tells me that it's all about crowd control and strategic sales for disney...and that it's not "magic bands have increased spending" as we see falsely promoted around here alot.

If that were the case - then it wouldn't matter if somebody was gonna stay 3 days or 10...

Interesting.

And can that tanned twit Staggs stop making vague quotes using "folks"?

I know you want all my money - dont have to get all "homey" to relate to me ;)
I figured the bands wouldn't get there but are possible over seas. However I wouldn't be surprised if pieces of the system do show up in Disneyland like FP+ except it would probably be day of instead of 60 days in advance. It's been rumored for a while that after the Paris refurbs DLP could very well get the system.

If you didn't read the dateline Disneyland update from today, they did have some phased closure problems it seems. Disneyland resort saw up to 175,000 people at times and they went to phase four closure for the first time ever. Execs were expecting 120,000. Communication was a big problem between management and frontline. The esplanade guest services was closed early because of upset guests.

That sounds unbearable to me. I'm one of those who think it's not worth it, but hey, 175000 guests disagree.

Well 24 hours Disneyland plus the kickoff of the 60th celebration plus a new fireworks show and parade plus a new world of color. That's going to bring in a lot of people

Those pictures of the hub with the Partners statue look like they are good ways from completion. How much longer is it going to take on that thing? Terrible eyesore

I can't figure out why they didnt ditch the princess stage show, shut the whole thing down, and do it all at once...

They coulda just routed everyone through adventure and tomorrow lands and had the thing done in 1/5th the time....

Besides - there's so much to do in new Fantayland...everybody is back there all day anyway. ;)

They are shutting down the stage for a bit to do some minimal work on it. There was a rumor for a while that maybe a new stage show would be coming but I think that's been lost in rumor history.

Wow. The candy apple addition to the snack option is actually pretty nice.
I agree I just wish it included the character ones but I undertsnad why it doesn't. Those candy and caramel apples are one of my favorite items.

While not official news, apparently "Anna and Elsa" will be making an appearance at my local Costco on May 30th for some kind of charity meet & greet. A very non-descript an unofficial sign was posted up by the registers. I believe it has something to do with Children's Miracle Network, but I'm sure something like that needs clearance from Disney to be "official".

I think "Anna and Elsa" have made an appearance at every library in America at this point..
