Riverside Mill timing

We will be at POR June 8-15 and plan on eating breakfast at Riverside a few mornings, I have heard that it is very chaotic in the mornings. I was wondering how long do I need to allot for breakfast, it will be 4 adults and 2 kids (4 & 8), we will probably all be eating a decent size breakfast not just a pastry.

For a nice leisurely breakfast at the RM, give yourself an hour. It can be very busy at times in the morning but there's tons of tables so don't worry about that,
I found that the omelet station has the longest line and the longest wait. But they're real good definitely worth waiting for.

The Riverside Mill is our favorite foodcourt in wdw! It all depends on how early you plan on going for breakfast. The earlier the better.. I think they start serving at 6:30-7am which is when we always go, as we are really early risers in the mornings at Disney. I think from 8am on, it gets really busy and sometimes even after 7:30am.

They handle crowds well. We've been there at peak times and gotten in and out in 30 minutes easily but we're flexible with our choices and we don't use the omelet station. I don't even remember an omelet station, lol.

You didn't ask this question, but, if you are at Port Orleans? Make sure you catch the Yehaa Bob show in the lounge on certain evenings. We love Yehaa Bob. Have a great stay!

We love POR. We have found the food court to be cold in the morning. If any of you get cold easily, you may want to be prepared. It opens at 6:30, but the hot food lines (waffles, bounty platter, omelets, yogurt/oatmeal) don't open til 7.

We like to eat in our room so my oldest son and I leave our room about 10 til 7 and head for the food court. We get drinks (refillable mugs and drinks that come with with our QS meal) and get in the lines we need just before 7. We're always back in our room by 7:10 or 7:15. That gives us the freedom to eat, brush teeth, etc as we finish.

Early is better. Also, you may want one adult to sit with the kids at the table while the other 3 adults get all of the meals. That is one trick we've used over the years and it has really reduced our chaos. :) Have a great trip!

We always felt the crowds were quite reasonable at the Mill, especially considering the size of the resort. The lines (other than the omelet station as previously noted) including the cashier lines all seem to move pretty quickly and we never had an issue finding a place to sit. Given the ages of your kids, I would say 30-45 minutes from the time you get to the Mill to the time you leave is fair and generous. Even during the Christmas-NYE week the Mill never seemed crowded. In fact, the resort, while being booked solid, often felt like we were the only ones there.

They handle crowds well. We've been there at peak times and gotten in and out in 30 minutes easily but we're flexible with our choices and we don't use the omelet station. I don't even remember an omelet station, lol.

If I remember correctly, the omelet station is where the pasta/pizza station is for lunch and dinner (the pasta station is pretty good if you are around the resort for lunch or dinner) in the corner, which is next to the station with the Mickey waffles.

I know where that is. LOVE the pasta station! Don't tell DH about the omelet station or he'll be there every morning and we'll miss RD!
