Poly Studio Availability at 7 months

I'm not sure the other longhouses have rooms the same size as the three they already converted. The three converted to villas were later installations and those were larger. I don't think they could do the same set up for studios at any other building at the Polynesian. They would have to completely gut the building.
Agreed from what I have read the 3 already converted were the only 3 with the larger room size-they were the addition to the original resort and all other rooms are smaller

That's not going to happen. From a studio to a bungalow?

You don't think? I mean, if a family is staying there for 5 nights and the bungalow is sitting empty for those 5 nights, why not?
Great opportunity for Disney to promote DVC, great opportunity if something was to go oh so wrong with the family's current room or situation.
The family of the day maybe? What if they overbook? I am just rattling my brain I guess.

I remember reading where the Murphy lady got a free room at the Wilderness Lodge for her mother here recently on her last trip there.

For what it's worth, I was able to get 5 nights at the Poly (Studio LV) in December at the 7 month window. I had to try 3 days at 8AM before I got through. We are looking forward to it. It will be our first trip as DVC members.
So the first day it was unavailable, but 3 days after the 7 month window it was available?

Unless your studio is unavailable at the Poly you will not be upgraded to a bungalow on points- DVC can't do that as it is wrong for all the members and causes other problems with point usage. If you were staying on DRC cash they would but would be more likely to offer the upgrade to someone who paid full price for a concierge suite and give them lounge access than to offer it to someone else at the resort.

That's correct. I believe the only way you will see more DVC rooms is if they build one of the towers on the original plans. One was near the TTC, the other near the Wedding Pavilion. Poly is popular with cash guests, I doubt they will take more rooms.
