Annual pass/hotel savings???

One thing to remember is that you don't get any You First Loews credit when booking through a third party like Cheaptickets.
Feeling like a dummy, we've stayed at RPR so many times and I don't know what the You First credit or program is? I feel like I'm surely missing out on something! Any advice??

Loews has a loyalty reward program
YouFirst.
so many stays a year at any Loews hotel in the nation earn you credits in your YF program.

free to sign up.

once you hit a level, you need to keep it at that level by doing the number of stays each year.
blue, gold, platinum are the levels.

member is when you have 2 stays in at any hotels in a year.

i'm at platinum and the perks are worth it for me to stay at Loews whenever i travel.
plat level allows you to book a standard room and get a free upgrade.
i can be upgraded at the time of booking my reservation.
for rph, my upgrade is a king suite.
it is different type of room for upgrading if at pbr.

gold level can also be upgraded to a suite if you pay an additional $50 a night.
haven't looked at the rules site in awhile but it was at one time that gold could upgrade to a suite apon check in if any were available

all 3 levels allow you to book standard room and upgrade to preferred room which is water view at rpr.

upper lever in the program also receives $100 food and beverage credit on each stay in the hotel.
if you stay one night or many, it is $100 total.

rpr and pbr are in the loews program.
hrh has its own separate program.
if you book thru a 3rd party vendor, your stay does not count in the reward program.

if you go a lot or once a year, you can reach blue level and receive some perks.

if you stay 5 nights or more, you
receive two credits for the stay.
that is the max they give you on a longer booking.

Just checked Labor Day weekend...good APH rate for Portofino but not yet for RPR (its actually more expensive than the non discounted rate LOL). So still waiting.

Just got an ap discount the other day for june 22-29. Went from $354 a nite at pbh to $278. That alone saved me $500. This was for a 2q bay view room with a you first upgrade to parlor suite. I did check for the past few months and this year summer aph rates came out late.

Hi!

I've also been waiting for the AP rates, but for July. I keep checking, but haven't seen anything. Did you receive an email from Universal advising about the discount, or did you just happen upon it?

Thanks!

The rate came out a little over a week ago. Nothing for aph has been available for after june 30 at pbh so far. I just check every day or so when i log onto the internet. i am waiting for aph rates for july 6 - 9. Right now its $354 with aaa discount,

I've reserved a room using APH rate. It doesn't matter which level AP you have (to receive APH rate) as long as you have one upon checkin, correct? I haven't purchased the AP as of yet, but of course plan to do so before our travel dates.

yes.
you can book the room with the ap rate.
buy the ap before your trip and exchange that voucher for the AP.
i don't know if policy has changed to where you are mailed the actual ap
there have been some policy changes that i am behind on and maybe they have switched and mail the tyvek paper ap out once you buy it.
you do need to activate your ap
go thru the park entrance gates and when first used, that begins the first date of activation.

i have seen many peeps show a voucher when they check in and later return in the evening to show they have the actual ap and it has been activated.
the hotel staff works with that daily.
never an issue for the guest.

last year the policies changed and all levels of the AP's will qualify you for the discount.
but you have to book and secure that discounted rate in advance.

not as many ap rooms have been released this year based on past years.

i had booked months out with rack for january.
ap rates came out and they were completely gone by the end of the day for rpr.

i switched to smsm rate then.

if you see the ap rate and rooms are available for your dates, book then.
you can always cancel that reservation and receive your room deposit back if your trip plans change.
(cancel 6 days out before arrival date and no penalties)

I had a bay view with aph rate for dates in june because that was the only room available that could get a you first upgrade to parlor suite. Checked yesterday and standard view with platinum upgrade was available! Rebooked it at the aph rate of $244 a nite plus taxes. Boy loews is sure holding onto the rooms a lot later before letting them go with discounts this year.

This is great information Macraven, thanks! The APH rate has actually fared quite well for us by the way. I have yet to see anything cheaper on Cheaptickets, but I'm monitoring just in case. Looks like we're saving on average $300 for our end of Oct. stay at PBH.

So happy I read the forums for useful info like this!

i have a 13 day stay so the smsm is at 35% discount for me.

i listed my rate on the date/rate thread.
Bluer has been keeping that thread updated and he has added other's info based on dates of stay.

i think my weekdays are at $174 and my weekend nights at $310

rates drop at the end of october so your $204 is a good rate.

Ok thanks for the info. Just wanted to know what the rates were at rpr. Rates went up this year at pbh by about $20. I remember last year at rpr it was $154 aph rate a nite for oct 22 - 29. thanks again
