We are a brother and sister looking to stay at a MK resort. Which one would you recommend for us. We are looking at late September 2016. We would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advanced.

They are all very nice. without more information, it's hard to say what would suit you best. What atmosphere are you looking for? Peaceful, bustling, lots of restaurants? What's your budget? Which theme appeals to you more?

We are looking for a peaceful resort. We like scenery. We are not will big pool people. We would like a place that has some nice restaurants.

That is a very subjective question. However, in my opinion, for relaxation, quality of restaurants and proximity to the Magic Kingdom, The Grand Floridian is an excellent choice.

We are Poly people. It's beautiful there and we love the restaurants and prefer the counter service to the Contemporary's.

Wilderness Lodge!!! The most peaceful and beautiful resort at WDW!!! The boat to the MK is awesome!! Also the least expensive of the MK Deluxe resorts.

The Poly is our favorite, but we also love the GF. Both have beautiful, relaxing atmospheres with great restaurants (although the GF has more sit down options). With that said, if you stay at the Poly, the GF is just a short walk or monorail ride away for dining. My first choice would be the Poly as I love the tropical surroundings, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the GF. The WL is also a great resort and even though it's not on the monorail, it's a quick boat ride to the CR to access the monorail resorts for shopping and dining options. Good luck.

I haven't stayed at the WL yet but that is on the to do list soon. We like the contemporary best on the monorail. But we like the crescent lake area much better overall.

We have stayed at WL, GF and Poly. I would suggest a 4th. or 5th. floor courtyard view room at WL. GF would be a close second.

Wilderness lodge is the "cheapest"/best value if you are honest.

Grand Floridian is far more expensive...

The poly and the contemporary have their merits but are vastly overpriced for what they are.

I don't know if price is an issue at all - but just in case I like to point out that you are paying significantly more to stay in the older hotels on the monorail line.

My recommendations are always beach, yacht, boardwalk, wilderness and a animal kingdom lodges - which is the best value for your price IMHO

We are staying for the first time early July at WL and it by far is the least expensive of MK resorts. We have stayed at CR and loved it and loved being on the line of the monorail. However we didn't like the food options and the pool wasn't the best. We figured WL is so beautiful and so close to MK only a boat ride away it would fit us perfect. We were thinking about Poly as we always wanted to stay there but couldn't justify paying $500 plus more for a room that didn't look as nice as WL. We have heard such great reviews about WL and love the look of it. Either way I sure you will have a great time. Happy planning.

we love the CBR, but we are pool people. it's broken up into 6 areas I believe and each has their own pool in addition to the big main pool. stayed there four years in a row. it also has the "beach" area with hammocks near each pool- very relaxing and quiet! we go in august and all the families flock to the big main pool so the smaller pools at each house are practically empty. it's just me and DBF (for now) and we love that relaxing time without many people to decompress from the morning in the parks! :)

If you like pine trees WL, if you like palm trees GF, if you want a Hawaiian feel Poly, if you like the Contemporary decor you can go with that or possibly BLT.

They all have decent places to eat. It is easy to get from one to the other (for restaurants) so I would personally pick based on decor/atmosphere rather than restaurants.

they are all great resorts. i think you should look online at pics and pick the one that you think has the best feel for you. none is probably overall any better than the others, it's just subjective as to what each person prefers. you did mention restaurants. the GF has the most nice restaurants on property so you might like that; however, if you stayed at one of the other resorts it is a quick trip over there (for example, monorail from poly to GF is literally something like a minute and a half). GF is more upscale overall. You also mentioned scenery- what kind of scenery do you like? I would say the Contemporary probably is less scenic than the others, but I guess it depends on what you like to look at.

Good luck with your choice, you definitely can't go wrong.

I would stay at Poly for great scenery and being on the monorail is a great perk. My family likes eating at Ohana, plus the monorail gives you convenient access to the restaurants at Contemporary and GF.

Well a lot of it depends on your budget, but I'll put my two cents in and vote for Wilderness Lodge! We stayed there a few years ago and it was wonderful. Gorgeous surroundings and fairly quiet. As others have mentioned, it's also the least expensive of the Deluxe options, and an easy boat ride to MK. Animal Kingdom Lodge was also a nice, peaceful resort. If you get a room overlooking the Savanna, it's awesome to sit out there on the balcony and drink your morning coffee while watching the animals.

If you want to stay in the MK area (my favourite), either the Poly or the WL (let budget decide). If you want the Epcot area, I would vote for BWI.

If you are of legal age and like to have a drink or two I would really recommend the epcot resorts over the MK resorts. You can walk to epcot and a short boat to DHS. Have some nightlife on the boardwalk after a drink in the world showcase.
