Hi, I am going to Discovery Cove for the all inclusive day (minus the dolphin swim.) Even though I am not participating in the dolphin swim will I still be able to pet them and get close to them?

Also, is the Great Barrier Reef included?

And lastly, are there any cheaper ways to buy dolphin swim upgrade once I get there?

Swimming in the Grand Reef is included with all admissions (both with and without the dolphin swim) :thumbsup2 .

If you don't have the dolphin swim as part of your admission, then you will only be able to watch the dolphins (who will be interacting with other guests and the trainers) from the shore. Petting them and the up-close encounters are a feature for guests who pay the extra for the dolphin interaction only.

I don't know if its possible to upgrade your day-resort only admission to include the dolphin interaction when you arrive, or not. If you can, I doubt it would be at a lower price point than if you booked that in advance (and depending on the number of guests already booked for that day with dolphin swims, it might be that they couldn't even accommodate you last minute). Hopefully someone else can chime in with something definitive, though.

If there are swim times available day-resort guests are able to add a dolphin swim. However, the price would not be discounted at all.

I believe on most days, however, most swims are already reserved, so unless you are going during a slow period chances are good there would be no swims left.
