Help! Reservations seem impossible to get for Nov 2015

I'm checking daily for the ones I still want and I'm having no luck at all. I do want harder to get ones (BOG dinner, Ohana dinner, CP pre-park open) so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. We don't even have free dining (renting DVC points) and I'm very much regretting my choice of dates. I'm terrified the parks are going to be nuts. I really hope the reports of a dining system malfunction are true and this isn't an indication of crowd levels.

We are going November 11-21 and have went during this time frame the past 3 years. The parks have never been crazy and packed. The following week during thanksgiving is crazy but we have never found the time prior to be too bad.

Last year we did have a hard time getting ADR's during the third week of November, but easily got some the beginning of thanksgiving week. Sounds like it is similar or even worse this year. We aren't on a dining plan and just want to get CRT for our daughter but have had no luck. Hopefully more times do open up!

Is everyone looking for the same ADR's?:confused3 Ohana BOG CP Cali Grill CRT?? It is quite possible that these are booked up isn't it? I booked Jersey week with no issues but there is no Free Dining offered that week. I don't wanna be a Debbie downer but the only time I saw reservations released was for BOG when they decided to open up the 3rd section of the restaurant for Dinner and I was able to snag a ressie. As far as the less popular restaurants or the easier Ressies, i.e. Raglan Road are you sure they are all Disney Restaurants? THE Boathouse shows no availability but when I called the restaurant directly I got what I wanted. I really do wish all of you good luckpixiedust: and hope you all get what you want, we are a dedicated group here on the DIS:disrocks: and you should subscribe to the cancellation board for November it is a great resource
We are going Jersey week and we have FD, it was offered as long as you are checked in by 10/31
We has no problem with ADRs that week.
We also booked 11/14-11/21 and only got 2 ADRs we wanted
That week. So we cancelled. DH was really hoping to do Nov and the MVMCP but maybe next year

I've read this thread with interest because my family is booked for November and we are first timers. I was able to get some reservations but not for times or days I wanted. I thought that was just they way it was! I am now just randomly choosing dates in June, August, September and seeing so many good times at restaurants that have NO openings the entire week of our November stay! Something is most certainly wrong. I am also considering changing my dates to December.

Sorry for the slightly off topic, but what and when is Jersey Week?

Our TA got all but one of the ADRs we were looking for but I've been trying for a week to change the time abd the exact same restaurants and times keep coming up. The biggies aren't showing as available at all for me.

I'm glad to hear things aren't typically packed the third week of November. That's when we're headed there. We'd actually planned for the previous week but switched to get FD and thought it would be a bonus that crowds are supposed to be a bit lower that week. But I've had a terrible time getting ADRs. There's no BOG to be had, and I can't get anything at H&V during the entire week. I knew BOG would be tough (and wouldn't be super disappointed if we don't get it), but I never expected to have trouble with H&V. I will be really sad if we can't swing that character meal.

I'm still confused by all of this. We are there 19-28, my ADR Day was Saturday and I logged on at 5:50, and right at 6:00 snagged every one I wanted with many times to choose from. Even if I look now, there seems to be quite a bit. I just saw CRT still with times, as well as other hard to get ones. I had no trouble with BOG lunch and dinner for 6 of us. We have all the hard to get ones. Is it earlier in the month everyone is having trouble with?

I think some of the EPCOT restaurants have been glitchy. For example only 3 restaurants EPCOT restaurants are available on the 27th and 28th due to the CP scheduling.

I'm wondering if a week that is usually lower crowds is given less ADR's while a higher crowd week has more ADR's. Lower crowds=less staff scheduled= fewer ADRs. Higher crowds=more staff=more ADR's.

Or ma

Or maybe because I am checking in the last day of free dining. Maybe the dates in the prior weeks have more people on the dining plan because of free dining. :confused3

Geez...I can't even get a 4pm reservation at Big River Grille &Brewery on 11/12 . Doesn't seem like a very good system if 5 months out there's no where to eat! Maybe I'm not doing this right; Is the Disney site the only way to get a reservation? Can I call restaurants directly?

You can call Disney dining - I've seen some post about a non Disney website where you can book a reservation through them but dt recall the name and don't think it's for all restaurants

We went 2 years ago the week before Thanksgiving, during free dining, (and are going again this year) and the crowds were very low. We also had no trouble getting the ADRs we wanted (2 years ago), whereas this year it's been very difficult. I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden this year everyone has decided that's when they should go to Disney. I'm still holding out hope that it's a glitchy system causing the ADR problems...

In addition to having difficulty with ADRs the week before thanksgiving I had trouble getting into BBB in the castle. I didn't expect that to be so difficult either. I got my girls into DTD, but it seems a bit ridiculous to go there when we are staying at BLT. Is it always that hard to get into the BBB in the castle?

Even with my computer rebooting at 6 a.m. on the nose and having to wait an extra 20 minutes, I was able to book everything I wanted from 11/11-22 with the exception of my arrival day Chef Mickey dinner. I got Ohanna BF and dinner, BOG dinner, along with various other meals. Within the week I was able to get my Chef Mickey time, which was much earlier than our 2013 trip, where I didn't get a Chef Mickey dinner til about 6 weeks out from our trip.

I actually had an easier time this time around than I did for my October 2013 trip.

I had a hard time with BBB in the castle, too. I just booked DD into the one at DTD. The CM told me to keep trying for the castle, something might open up but I took the DTD one so we have something at least!
