Am I understanding this correctly?

I think I have this straight, but just want to confirm with the experts!

We're planning to fly into MCO on a red-eye, arriving early Saturday morning. We would probably get to the Universal area around 7:00 a.m. If we check into the Royal Pacific (knowing we won't actually get into our room until later), will we get express pass privileges for Saturday? Then if we check out early Sunday morning, will we also get to use the express pass for Sunday? I'm weighing the costs of one night on-site vs. paying for a ticket upgrade. Thanks!

stay onsite at one of the 3 deluxe hotels for the perks.

the photo id express card will list your dates on it.
you receive free unlimited express usage for all ep lines on the day you check in and the day you checkout.

I just booked for October for what your doing. We are staying in Disney and were planning 2 days @ universal. The original plan was to cab it back and forth the 2 days. But after doing the math, with the included express unlimited pass we decided to just get a room for 1 night at Universal. So we will cab over in the AM, check in to the hotel, leave a day bag at bell services, and go to the parks, sleep there, wake up and check out, once again leave our bag at bell services, do the parks. Once done go to the hotel get our bag and cab it back to Disney. It was worth the $299 for the room, I figured I was saving $80 or so just in cab fare and the remaining $200 or so was worth the extended time there and the express passes for 2 days for 3 of us.

That's my plan too!
