November 2015....The countdown begins!!

Can anyone tell me how the weather is in November? Our dates are the 15th through the 21st. Hoping for some great weather and looking forward to the Christmas decorations. Planning on going to MVMCP and wondering if it is worth it. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!!

To answer your question about MVMCP, we've done it once and wouldn't do it again, but don't regret going. It's a fun experience, but I personally don't think it's worth the cost for all 6 of us to go. We could add 2 nights on our trip for the same price. The parade is cute, hot chocolate a nice touch. But you can see it " snow" at DHS for free. Just my opinion, but I'm sure I'm in the minority with that opinion. We liked MNSSHP better, but still probably wouldn't do it again.

Agree 100%. The extra parties aren't worth it to us either.

Maybe someone can help with my plans. I want to see the Osborn lights really badly, but our only day we can do is the first day they open, 11/6, which happens to be our F&W day. I don't have a lot of wiggle room for switching days around, but do you think we could manage to leave Epcot around say, 430 to go to DHS, see them for a bit, and get back to Epcot at some point after?

I am in the same boat as you and I personally switched our days to make sure we are at DHS on 11/6 for Osborn Lights.

The success of your plan will hinge on your travel party. Ever since we became a Disney "family" when dd was born we eliminated park hopping. It is just too much. In November we will have our 3 month old along as well, and we are a party of 10. If it is just you, you and a travel companion, or a group that includes older kids it would probably not be a big deal to do both.

Just found this thread! I was watching another November one. We are going Octiber 31 to November 8 and I can't wait!Looking forward to cooler weather after a few July trips!!!

Same here, we've been going in September for years for free dining and low crowds. But this last yer did us in with the weather, and the crowds aren't low anymore. We decided to go November and still got the free dining. Looking forward to not melting for the first time in years.

It's just me and my bf, so I said we would chance it and try to go to both. I've got a day and a half of relax time, so if we really feel adventurous we'll go back to see stuff we miss at Epcot.

Thanks guys! I was able to get breakfast at CP but there were no BOG dinner openings. I was able to get just about everything else. The IPO at Poly said because LTT will be undergoing the renovation until 11/19 they are not taking ressies at this time. We wanted a lunch there on 11/23. Does anyone know when a restaurant undergoes a renovation if I will have to wait until it opens to book or will they start allowing it closer?

A CM that posts often said on another thread, specifically regarding LTT, that b/c their date to reopen is so close to Thanksgiving they don't want to take reservations yet in case the re-opening date gets pushed back (they don't want a bunch of upset guests if they have to cancel ressies). According to him, you WILL be able to make ADR's prior to them opening, once they are sure of the date they'll be open again :)
Remember that's 2nd hand info! But he pretty much knows what he's talking about.

I agree for the most part with wdw4rfam. We've done MVMCP twice and aren't interested in doing it again. Cute parade, snacks are nothing special at all and extra shows, eh. But we LOVE MNSSHP, have done it 4x and would do it every year if we could :hmghost:
I think as far as those parties each family needs to decide for themselves. I also think it's nice to do everything Disney offers once, if you have any interest at all. That way you aren't forever wondering if you would have liked something or not. So, if it's in your budget and sounds like something you might enjoy, I say give it a go ::yes:: It certainly wasn't a horrible time lol, nor did we leave either Christmas party saying we shouldn't have done it.

ADR day! The website was beyond frustrating but we ended up getting just about everything we wanted on the days we wanted them. No Ohana for Thanksgiving; only thing available for 10 was 9:45PM, but we snagged one for later during our stay. Managed to get a BOG lunch and dinner too; so exciting!

Today was ADR day and I was only able to book my arrival date online. So I had to patiently wait until 7 am and pray that Chef Mickey's wasn't booked for breakfast the next day. Luckily I was able to get everything after waiting on hold forever. This is so frustrating! I could have slept in a little later.

I was able to get BOG for the last day of our trip! We had to change some days around and will be doing more park hopping than usual to get to all the dining we wanted but not a big deal. Luckily it was pretty easy to switch our ADRs around. We are having Thanksgiving Dinner at Boma. Maybe we will be lucky and CP packages will be released earlier than usual like the party tickets were.

Joining in! We are going to be there from 11/8-11/24. Looking forward to seeing all the Christmas decorations and MVMCP.
