This year I promised my DH we would try new restaurants instead of the same places we've been repeating for years and years. I have reservations for.....

Chefs de France instead of our usual San Angel Inn
Trails End instead of LTT or Plaza
1900 Park Fare instead of Chef Mickeys
Artist Point instead of Cali Grill
Sci Fi instead of 50's Prime Time
Kona instead of Ohana (breakfast)
Yachtsman instead of Le Cellier

There are still a few places I cant give up (mostly for my daughters sake)...Cape May, CP, Tusker House, dinner shows etc....!

What new places are you trying in place of your usual favorites?

This year we are trying Yak & Yeti instead of T-Rex, Chefs instead of a resort dinner, BOG lunch instead of LTT lunch.

You will enjoy Sci Fi. We have been repeating too much as well. We need to start mixing it up some. As far as eating at one of the other resorts goes, its seems like it would be a lot of trouble to get there. We would have to catch a bus at one of the parks to the desired resort to eat, then catch a bus back to the park in order to catch a bus to get back to our resort. Is there an easier way?

This year we are trying Trattoria on the Boardwalk. But this is mainly because Kouzzina ( :( ) was our fave four years in a row & we love to go to the Boardwalk at least once on our trip. Reading mixed reviews about it so I'm nervous but am always willing to try something once to form my own opinion.

For me, eating at one resort over another doesnt make a big difference. If Im trekking to one, I can get to another just as easily (or as difficultly!) My choosing Trails End over an MK dinner was made when I hear we could take a boat over to Ft Wilderness for Trails End. Seemed like a nice way to get off our feet for a bit and have the relaxing ride back to MK, for a few minutes, after eating.

Im sure you know you could get to some of the resorts by boat or monorail. Maybe when youre in MK or Epcot, you could take a boat or monorail to one of the resorts (Grand Floridian/Poly/Comtemporary via monorail from MK, Ft Wilderness/Wilderness Lodge via boat from MK and Yacht/Beach Club, Boardwalk area from Epcot via boat) for lunch or dinner. All of what I just mentioned is about a 10 minute ride (monorail/boat) from the parks.

Excellent that you 'traded-off' all your regular places.

I like Chefs, prefer the dinner menu. But view inside Mexico is charming with boats passing by.

Never been to Trails End, but it is nice to leave the Parks sometimes.

1900 is better food than Chef Mickey's.

CA Grill ranges from spectacular to disappointing. Artist's Point is more consistent - Plank Cooked Salmon is a 'must-do' for someone at your table.

My wife does not like the food at 50's Prime Time, so we'll be going to Sci-Fi in a few weeks instead. Kids prefer Sci-Fi too, since the theming at 50's can be lost on them.

Kona over 'Ohana - every time for us.

We prefer Yachtsman to Le Cellier. But we prefer Shula's. Boathouse gives a run for the same money….Capa inside Four Seasons…..

This year we are trying Yak and Yeti and Via Napoli (I'm so ready to try this pizza I have heard so much about)!

I don't get to make the table service choices this trip, but I hope somebody in our group chooses Teppan Edo. When the grandkids found out we are going they all asked to eat at Sci-Fi again, so that is a must. I would also like to eat at Le Cellier (sp).

We do have our repeats that it wouldn't be a Disney vacation without going there (Akershus breakfast before park opens, Crystal Palace before park opens, Be Our Guest dinner). However, we like to switch things up each trip and go to places that we either haven't gone to in a while or try something new. In October we will be going to:

- Chef Mickey's breakfast..haven't done this in a long time, I know it doesn't get great reviews but we wanted to head back there before going to TL.
- Maya Grill...we are staying at CSR this trip (another new thing for us) and wanted to try out this restaurant
- La Hacienda De San Angel In...DH and I love San Angel In in the Pavilion but wanted to try this one out and we are hoping our kids will like it too.
- Be Our Guest Lunch...my girls and I tried this in January and we all loved it, we wanted to come back with DH because we know he will like it too.
- Mama Melrose..again something that we haven't done in a long time but DH wanted to go to it, we normally only go to Sci Fi while at DHS but this time I made an early lunch at Sci Fi and a later dinner at Mama Melrose so we can do both :goodvibes.
- Akershus breakfast before the park opens..a staple for us
- Crystal Palace before the park opens..again a staple for us
- Fulton's Crabhouse for dinner...becoming a staple for us

I don't have it yet and am still trying to get one, but I am hoping for an ADR for Be Our Guest dinner :lovestruc.

This will be our first trip that we don't do a single signature meal.

We're trying BOG, CRT, H&V, and Teppan Edo for the first time.

We are keeping our must dos: Ohana (breakfast and dinner) and Tusker House.

If I can find an ADR, I plan to switch our Biergarten to Via Napoli. I am super unenthused about it, tbh, as I didn't love the pizza in the real Naples nor do I love VN's sister restaurant at Disneyland, but I am taking my middle DS who is by far the least adventurous eater in the family and I think he would like it.

Doing The Boathouse instead of Narcoossee's.

I have been trying other ways to mix it up but it is hard to get outside our comfort zone. Letting my kiddo choose 90% and he likes buffets because of the plethora of unexciting options...he is their ideal customer, lol.

Coral Reef instead of Via Napoli.
Grand Floridian Cafe instead of Akershus.
Shutters instead of San Angel.

New to us this year are Tokyo Dining & BOG for dinner, Beaches & Cream for lunch & Tusker House for breakfast. So hard to pick sometimes because my 14 year old DD is the super picky one in the family and she would rather stick with what she knows. I swear she gets more instead of less picky the older she gets!

I have a 19 year-old son the same exact way. My oldest son in the Army eats whatever. Of course, after eating MRE's, everything looks like a New York Strip to him.

Mine are mainly related to SWW:

Galactic Sci Fi breakfast instead of Chef Mickeys or 1900 PF
Jedi Mickeys - We have never been to H&V
San Angel - May bring peanut butter for the kids. We are paying OOP for this one.

Keeping:
Akershus - have to have one princess meal
Boma - We have not been in 3 years and we are staying at MK
Liberty Tree - Have not been for a few years, paying OOP so we can have a place to eat in AC
BOG lunch - because it is the best CS!

I am very tempted to get a Tusker House again but I need to use my CS credits somewhere!

We have 12 ADRs for our trip and only 2 are repeats for us. (narcoossee's and LTT)

We are also eating at:

California grill
Yak a a Yeti
Be Our Guest (dinner and breakfast - not on the same day though)
Teppan Edo
Kona (dinner and breakfast on different days)
Trails End
50s Prime Time
Boathouse

I also have a Garden Tea reservation for me and my mom to enjoy while my husband and dad go golfing.

This trip we are doing both Ohana for Breakfast AND dinner. Instead of our regulars. We decided to try it because everyone raves about both all the time and even though we had a bad first experience there thought maybe it deserves another shot. Really apprehensive about it so we'll see.

I just want to say to the OP - and YMMV - I tried Le Cellier once, it was fine, but my favorite thing there was the beer cheese soup. Tried Yachtsman's for the first time this year and my steak was perfect (filet mignon at both). Caesar salad at YS was messy but good. As a steak eater, I would not hesitate to go back to YS. Hope you enjoy it.

I really liked Le Chefs for lunch (I think that was 2012) - but if you want to swap something for San Angel Inn, have you considered La Hacienda de San Angel on the lagoon side? I really preferred that to SA Inn; tilapia was good, and loved the black beans and tomatillo salsa for chips.

Next trip, I'm finally determined to make it to Narcoossee's. I was going to go there this year but switched it to Yachtsman's when I realized that would be my primary Epcot day.

Talk about "out of your comfort zone" - next year, I plan to make just 3 advance ADRs: Annual trip to Via Napoli, return trip to Flying Fish and first trip to Narcoossee's. If I decide I want any other TS while I'm there, I'll get on the app and see where I can make a last-minute ADR. I'm a solo, which helps, and going at not-the-most-crowded time, and don't mind going to resorts, so maybe I'll end up discovering something good.
