Marriott Harbour lake or Disney property for spring break

we are thinking about going back to Disney over spring break next year... Only because my kids have a spring break in late april... So I'm hoping it won't be crazy busy (I'm sure most schools have their break earlier??). anyway we've stayed at lots of Marriott timeshares and a few disney resorts. I was thinking about trying marriott Harbor lake but because it's going to be a busier time for Disney, I was wondering if I might benefit from the Disney resort because we can book fast passes earlier... Any thought? We stayed off property on our last trip and I didn't have any problem getting fast passes (but we went in January). Thanks! If we stay onsite I think we will book poly or contemporary.

We have stayed at Harbour Lake and Poly, and liked both. However, it sounds like your primary concern may be the ability to get FPs 30 days out vs. 60 days out in late April. You may want to pose that question on the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies board. You should get some pretty good feedback, since it is a very active board and since the period in which you're interested (late April) just passed.

I think you're right; esp over spring break it might be worth a Disney stay to be able to book fp earlier.

Easter is March 27th. By late April, things should be at worst moderate. Right now, you can see what peak summer looks like for 30 day FP+, late April should be easier.

I would rather have the extra space, myself.

The only reason I'd stay onsite would be if we wanted FP+ for Anna & Elsa which are sometimes hard to get even at 60 days out. All of the others have availability at 30 days. We prefer the extra space and amenities of a timeshare.

well both the places you mentioned have timeshares - BLT for CR and PV for Polyn - would go find out how much it would cost you to rent them from a member - now if you have trust issued then might go with a broker - but both of these sell out pretty quick - so asking for them at 7 months might be a problem.

that say would only stay onsite if you intend to use EMH - that is great during busy seasons.

I though WDW would be empty in May (like it was just last year) WRONG - too many people now know that going in off season - when the kids are in school is the thing to do. Have never seem so many people at WDW in May. alot were people with little kids - so guess they were during their once in a lifetime (I sometimes wish) trip to WDW while the kids were small and could travel w/o having to worry about school
