Im trying to not have to use the lockers at any of the rides. Is it possible? I'm not bringing any electronics only room key and photo pass and some cash?

The big 3 coasters (Hulk, Dragon Challenge, Rip Ride Rockit) pretty much require you to have empty pockets and it honestly isn't worth losing anything. The lockers are free and easy to use so I wouldn't see why it would be such a big problem.

I'm pretty sure since the metal detectors were added, even lanyards can't be worn on those 3 rides

Definitely get a lanyard to wear if that is all you plan to carry with you, OP. It will all fit and you don't have to store the lanyard to ride the rides (just put inside your shirt).

For the PP- apply sunscreen before going to the parks. You'll be in and out of the sun and the protection should last most of the day since you'll be inside quite a bit. If you are prone to sunburn, wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees if necessary.

We had no problems using our lanyards through all 3 metal detectors a month ago. After all - you've got to keep your express pass somewhere - they scan it after the metal detectors.

And the "empty pockets" really only applies to electronics & coins & the like. They don't pat you down, so if you've got a $20 bill stuffed in a pocket, they'll never notice.

I heard there is some sort of pocket on rides where you can place your wallet keys and cell phone. Is this not true? I do not like the idea of placing a wallet or my smart phone, in a locker.

No, they don't have any places to store things on rides.
Using the lockers really isn't that hard to do and it seems quite secure. You use your finger print to open and close the locker. We've left phones and wallets in without problem.

I have used lockers before and sometimes it was crazy going in and out of them. And we are going in a level 10 crowd day that is the only reason I'm looking to avoid it if possible

They have to allow them. Tickets, express passes? Where ELSE are they going to be put? They'll fall out if they are put into a pocket.

You have different skin than mine! Mine doesn't care how long I'm in the *sun*, but how long I have the sunscreen ON. And if I have it on too long without reapplying, I burn. Shoulders and knees are the least of my worries, as well. Back of the neck, forehead, arms... Ouch.

Just to clarify, there are now two "levels" of ride restrictions. The 3 big coasters - Rip Ride Rockit, Hulk, and Dragon Challenge - don't allow anything in your pockets, including cell phones and wallets. They enforce this with visual checks and metal detectors. The other restricted rides - Forbidden Journey, Mummy, Gringotts, Men In Black (I'm sure I'm forgetting a few), won't let you bring bags or large objects on the ride, but things in your pockets (including cell phones, cameras, and wallets) or even a fanny pack are OK.

So on the big 3 can you wear lanyards?

Yes you can wear lanyards. Again, where are you going to have your cards, if not in a lanyard? You can't have the express pass for the ride if you've put it in a locker. Lanyard can go under the shirt to control it even more. You can also still wear glasses on those rides.

Wristwatches are OK on the big 3 too.

IMHO, the whole reason for the new coaster crackdown is cell phones & GoPros. People have been getting on the ride, then pulling out their phone or camera and filming the ride. Which is extremely dangerous for the rest of the riders and everyone on the ground.

Also note that on other rides, they'll stop the ride and make an announcement to put away your camera if they see anyone filming the ride. This ruined the final drop for us at Jurassic Park last month.

The lockers may be free and easy to use, but there have been times when they are a pain just to get to. On busy days we have waited just to get to the kiosk. On a couple of occasions we have had to wait to get to our locker because others were standing around our locker using theirs. I can remember once we had trouble getting the locker to open and had to wait to get an attendant to help us. Granted, most of the time the lockers work just fine, but if I can avoid them I will. Love my lanyard!

And if you plan to wear a fanny / waist / hip pack, be sure it has a 3 prong closure. Lobster claws and other closures are not allowed.
