I booked my trip months ago and recently found out that Pitbull will be performing the weekend that we will be there.

We are staying at the Hard Rock and usually like to go back to the hotel for Happy Hour/dinner.

In the past we have seen Ne-Yo and Huey Lewis and never had a problem getting back into the park to see the concert in the evening.

Will we be able to do this on the night of the Pitbull concert or will we have to stay in the park??

Any suggestions?? Has anyone been there for a a pitbull concert- what have the crowds been like?

Thanks :)

It's in the music plaza by RRR.

We will be there to and if it's anything like his last visit it's an absolute zoo. It was shoulder to shoulder crowds that night around that whole area.

We do many concerts there and by far this is the worst for crowds.

What time do the concerts start? And are there any seats or is it just standing room only?

There are no seats just standing. some people bring blankets. The concert starts at 8 or 9pm... I think 8.

There will be no room for blankets and such with a concert of this magnitude. It will be jam packed and will be a line to get into the fenced off area in front of the stage starting early afternoon. As for time I would guess 8-9.

So is this a good day to do Islands of Adventure and avoid US? Aren't both parks supposed to close at 9 pm? How do they handle park closure if the concert starts so late?

I've done the concerts during Mardi Gras countless times, the park could close at 8pm and the concert might start at 8:30 and finish at 10pm.The rides will obviously shut down at 8pm and everyone in the back of the park will start getting ushered to the front of the park but the concert area and the front of the park will be jam packed.I've never seen Pitbull at Universal but have heard stories of his concerts getting the largest crowds of all the concerts that Universal holds, that's scary as I've been to some that were as full as it gets,at least I thought so.

Nope! Your little one won't even know. IF you are at the pool, and IF the wind blows the right way, you might hear a very faint snippet or two, but that resort is very far away from the stage, which faces away from RPR as well.
