FastPass+ to be tested at DLR this summer.

Ap holders at WDW can only hold 7 days worth of FP+ at any.one time, atand only 30 days in advance, unless they have an onsite resort stay. If they have an onsite resort stay, then they can book fp+ for the length of that resort stay at 60 days (this is my basic.understanding, I'm sure there are caveats i don't know)

Right, so you have AP holders snatching up all the FPs for the days which they intend to visit the parks. Remember that even though not every pass holder will visit every day, there is such a large population of passholders that on any given day they can make up huge portion of the crowds. With an estimated 1 million passholders even a small percentage of them showing up on the same day is enough to close down the parks.

But there are just so MANY local AP holders that I just can't imagine the impact they could have on the system. I could see many of them just booking RSR every week on the off chance they were going to go. They could book the top 3 high demand attractions every Friday night for 7 weeks and not exceed the cap being used at WDW right now.

We went to WDW in November and FP+ was stressful and not user friendly. You had to find a computer kiosk to add more rides at the end of your 3 previously chosen passes. It was not user friendly in the least and every person had to wait for a CM to help them. Assuming everyone has a smart phone is also agitating. Finally, I like to plan my Disneyland trips at the last minute, just like many of my fellow Disneyland lovers. It just doesn't make sense for California. DON'T DO IT!

I bet if they did FP+ they would have rsr as one the high tear ones maybe they can only book RSR or Screaming or Tot one at a time. to try and fight the locals off from bulking up on rsr.

Hard to say whether tiering would be needed at DLR. There are so many headliners it might not be needed. (It's tiered only at DHS and Epcot because they have so few rides in those parks). But there are also so many local AP holders it's hard to say if that would change anything.

I can't even begin to comprehend tiering at DLR...there's no need for it!

I just want to say that ITA that AP holders in DLR would have a *huge* impact on the availability - much more so, most likely, than the WDW AP holders. I just wanted to put out the specifics (that I know of) for what WDW AP holders are actually getting at the moment to clarify for those who might not know that.

We have used FP+ twice in WDW. It was okay but we are planners so we had no problem getting the FPs we wanted, worked the crowd to our advantage and had night time rides too. Don't like it but worked with it.

With being an annual pass holder at DL, I like the spontaneity of saying - let's go to DL in the morning (or now). I'm worried about lines and FPs for that. The only plus is planning evening trips to the park with the possibility of actually getting to ride something.

I'm more interested in the "rule" for annual pass holders.
