Will our camper fit?

Ok I booked a site back in January for a preferred loop since then my parents have upgraded their camper from a 32ft. 5th wheel with 1 slide out now to a 40ft 5th wheel with 3 slides. We are going for 10 days in October around Columbus day. Please reassure me that they will have a spot we can fit in. Premium spots are sold out so we cannot rebook. Thanks

As long as you gave them your length/slide/awning information, there should not be a problem. Enjoy your stay.

There are sites in the preferred loop that you will in. There are also sites that might be a bit of a squeeze, and some that might be hard to get into.

My dad was unable to get his big 5er into a site on the back of Loop 200 (mostly due to people's trucks being parked in the way and no one around to ask to move them) so he talked to someone from FW and they gave him a new site.

We just returned from FW. We have a 36' fifth wheel. We had reserved a preferred site. Upon arrival, we were assigned Site 343. It required a back in from the blind side. I carefully laid out a path for the tires to make the corner. After about 6 attempts to back up, I concluded that there was no way to back into that spot without putting my driver's side front fender into a tree across the road from the site. I drove to the office, and they gave me another site in the 300 loop that was fairly easy to back into. Later, we saw a motor home was backed into Site 343.

And to think in the old days when FW first opened a cm would back it in for you.

Each campsite has been measured, noted whether it will take awnings and slide outs, size of the tent pad, length of parking pad and rated for ease of back up. Each front desk hostess has a book with this info in it at their computer.

When they did the expansion a couple years ago they added sites that were larger to accomodate the larger rigs. Make sure you note the size, awning and slide out on your reservation and you should be fine. If you get to your assigned site and it just doesnt work go to the nearest comfort station and request a new one. Dont think you will have any troubles though.
