Frogg Toggs for FL Travel in the Summer

I stumbled on this thread. I'm not in Canada but if anyone is in the New England area I just saw them today at Ocean State Job lots for $3.99. I already bought some last summer and never used them yet. I've also read some people cut them in half the long way. I've only found pink, blue and Red. But I know they do come in other colors.

So glad people are finding them! They'll be worth the hunt if you're there in the summer heat. It does seem to be that each store stocks them in a different place which makes finding them a real challenge!

I'm so happy to see this! We are going in June and September - so these will certainly get used! I've been watching the temps climb higher and higher for May and wondering what I've gotten myself into! lol

Just found some in Guelph. Wow, quite the ordeal. I think the staff at Dollarama must have thought I was crazy, going up and down the aisles numerous times. Thanks for the head's up on checking the toy section. That's where I finally found them, but I think it was actually the "sporting goods" section. Think the absolute farthest corner of the store, right up against the back wall, hidden behind racks that meet in the corner. Went down the same aisle three times! On the last pass, I actually went in the opposite direction and that's when I spotted them in the corner, hidden behind little soccer shin pads & sweat bands.

We've never been in August before, so thanks for this idea. Less than 4 months to go...woohoo!

Too funny, you could be me! I was in the Guelph Dollarama on Saturday and was walking up and down the seasonal aisle, beauty supplies and after 15 minutes finally found someone who told me where they were! In the toy aisle but well hidden. My only problem is that they were all pink animal print and I don't think my 15 year old son is going to want to use it. I got 2 one for me and one for DD 13.

Woohoo to 13 weeks to go!:dogdance::tiptoe:

For what it's worth, I also found mine in the toy aisle and all that location had was the hot pink. I don't think dh, my sons or father in law were thrilled but I doubt they'll care when it's in the mid 90's lol

Try the one on Silvercreek. It still had blue ones when I was there.

Great name BTW - I'm also Kim

Went in yesterday and spent 20 minutes looking for them! asked the lady who said we don't have them it's not the sort of thing they stock! I politely told her she was wrong cause I had someone who told me she bought them there! LOL!! Not surprised she didn't know they had them, they were totally buried in the corner, almost totally missed them as I had looked 3 times in all the corners. Went back and showed her them and told her where they were for the next Dis'er that goes in!

Managed to get 2 blue ones this time so for us it's 2 pink for the girls (me and DD) and 2 blue for the boys (DH and DS) so we are all set!

Doing the happy dance - 13 weeks today!:rockband::rockband::rockband::yay::yay::tiptoe::tiptoe::tiptoe:

Oh my word! We just bought ours a few weeks ago on Amazon. I will have to see if I can find them here - I could send our other ones back!

Found them at both Dollaramas that are within 5 minutes of my house...in Kitchener. One only had white ones with pink polka dots (I bought one of those) and the other store had only yellow and black camoflauge type pattern and I bought the last 2 there. Both were found in the toy section.

FYI.... someone had said hang them to dry.....You might want to reconsider that option. Especially the night before leaving. They turn hard like cardboard. Bring ziplock bags so you can store them to pack to go home. I didn't have time to rewet and ziplock them this morning so I just threw them on my bed for now. Need to take care of that now. LOL

They have these in BC as well for those looking. I grabbed a couple from the Bridgeport Location in Richmond BC - located in the toys section.
Unfortunately, they only had neon yellow with leopard spots.

Thanks to everyone for the tips! We're going in August and these will be perfect!
For anyone who may be in the area - I found them just this past weekend at the Dixie Mall Dollarama - in the far store corner amongst toys. Got so excited my kids thought I'd lost it! :yay:

:( I just checked our Dollarama here in NS and didn't find any. I will keep checking hopefully I will find some because we are going in august and we could get all 3 at that price cheaper then one on Amazon!

Could you tell me which two stores you went to so I can try some others?

Thanks

I have never used them, so I'm not speaking from experience, but I have read somewhere that they must be stored in the original packaging. If they are stored in a zip lock bag they will get quite stinky.

I opened one of my towels to use at Zumba, I ended up cutting it in half as they are very large. I guess I wasn't really sure how they worked so thought it was going to be more of a towel! It isn't! It stayed cold for around 4 hours and I was able to put it on the back of my neck to cool down. I rinsed it out when I got home and have left it over the back of the chair to dry out. No smell, and not too hard. Think I will go back and get another one to replace the one I cut - hope they still have some!
