Would what I am doing be considered Walking?

I know that walking is getting your reseravtion at 7 days before your 1st day and then adding and subtracting days until you get the days you actually want.
I waited until 7 days from the end of my trip, booked the 7 days, and now will be subtracting off the days on the front end each morning until I have the reservation I actually want.

Yes, I think that meets the definition. You're booking days you don't need in order to get a head start on the days that you do want.

Yep, I agree it meets the definition. So why call every day to drop off unwanted nights? Why not wait and drop them in a single call to MS?

While it is a pain to call MS every day, it is a nice thing to do for the members who are trying to book the nights the OP is currently holding but does not plan to use.

I may need the points for a cruise that I am planning and want to have as many of them available when the boss says to book.
