Wine and Dine 2015

Our ADR date is this Sunday when I'm running the Tinkberbell 1/2. my DW is waking up with me just so she can make our ADR's and then going back to bed. She can sleep a couple more hours, then get up in time to cheer me on as I pass the HoJo on Harbor Blvd.

I wasn't aware I was allowed to back to sleep....this has been noted. :smooth:

Has there been anything from Disney about merch that will be at the expo? I can't find anything and it seems like there's been pictures and such well before the other races. :(
I see you're also running Tink? Is that the merch you're looking for?

Lately runDisney has been posting the merchandise previews very, very close to the expo start dates. I remember being in the airport on my connector to Wine & Dine last year and seeing the merchandise preview...so that was Tuesday or Wednseday of race week.

So I would not expect the Wine & Dine stuff until early November. If you're talking about Tink...yeah, I'm surprised it's not posted yet.

Yes, I'm a nerd, I'm talking about Tink. I didn't even pay attention to which thread I was posting in. :o Obviously, I've already gotten vacation brain. Thanks though!

Totally understandable! :) I think if they do post the previews it'll be on the Disney Parks Blog or on Facebook.

Tink is this weekend and they haven't even promoed the merchandise on the DPB? That's crazy. I guess they're not worried about sales, geez.

ETA: Hey Tink runners, the merch just went up on the Disney Parks Blog. The Dooneys are to die for.

Has anyone on here ever done the Roller Coaster Race 10K? They have them in about 5 different cities across the US and there is one on October 17th about 1/2 hour from me. It sounds so cool! You can do a dual sign up for the 10K and the the Roller Coaster Ride 5K and ride the distance of a 5K in roller coaster height. You get a medal for each and a tech shirt for each. I'm going to sign up as soon as they open registration. It can be a training run for W&D. :)

I know the race director for the roller coaster race series, and have run the Six Flags St. Louis race both last year and this year, as well as we did the ride a 5K last year too. Very well run, nice shirts and bling, right now its a smaller set up, but it seems to be getting bigger every year. I have heard the MD Six Flags New England is incredibly flat, unfortunately the one here in Missouri was anything but.

It sounds like fun! My DH is going to do the ride a 5K with me. I haven't been to Magic Springs where the run is here but Arkansas is a mix of flat and hilly. Thanks for your input. :)

Thanks to everyone who replied to my post. I definitely think I'm going to register for this event and submit it as a 10K. After all, technically I would be running a 10K - just a 10K with a little extra! And regardless of POT submission, it sounds like a fun race.

In actual running news, I have done a couple more runs with my intervals, and although I may tweak the times, I'm liking the concept. I'm finding that even just a short 30 second walk is a good break, and it's helped my overall pace as well. I'm not sure how it will hold up for longer distances and warmer weather as summer approaches, but we'll see!

Agreed .... and typically, no BOG dinners open yet for that week ... same as last year .... And no Victoria and Alberts :(

-Brian

I snagged a BOG lunch but hoping to change it to breakfast in 90 days. Also got a 7:00 PM Cali Grill for 8:00 PM Wishes. We've never done that before so I'm hoping the timing is okay.

Do you know when BOG dinners typically open up?

I want to say last year it was around 90 days prior .... it wasn't one or two openings either .... it was basically every evening time on every day ..... They were all still gone that day (As word was disseminated). The breakfasts are more of a wild card on when they'll pop up!

They'll come .... just poach the message boards and check in the mornings.

-Brian

I got my BOG dinner ADR last year at 180 + 10 for staying on site. Same way I was able to snag an Anna & Else Fast Pass.

Yep, BOG dinners were available this morning for 180 + 10. Whew, I was worried. The folks I'm meeting at WDW are arriving a few days ahead of me and they booked it this morning. :cool1:

There is Victoria and Albert's availability! You just have to call, because they aren't taking online reservations at this time for the months of October and November. I just reserved a table for November 3.

On the phone, I was told that the price will be higher ($185) and they are still confirming details regarding seating times and menu changes to tie in with Food and Wine. I have a table confirmed for the date and an approximate time, but they will call me back in 6-7 weeks to update me with details.

I left a message at V&A .... I'll call back periodically until I get a person to talk to! (and thanks for the info!)

All the chef's table reservations are taken (not surprised) .... They still have availability in the Queen Victoria's room for the entire week (we're booked on the 9th) :) .

Good to hear. Hoping it stays that way through Saturday though. We are also planning on the 9th which is our last night there.

Do you know if they had availability in the main dining room or were you just interested in the QV room?
