just curious as to what everyone thinks is the best way to get to the parks from Portofino? I know you can walk, go by boat, or go by shuttle? Am i missing anything?? Also how often and how realiable is the shuttle??? does it make other stops before its final destination?? Where does it drop you off in relation to the parks? Thanks for sharing your experiences!!

I would take the boat if it's there. Next would be walk and cut thru Hard Rock parking lot. Bus is last resort as it picks up and drops off at all three deluxe and city walk. Plus the stop at city walk is at the main parking garage hub so you will have to walk in from there.

Don't do the shuttle, it drops you off like you're a day guest at the main parking area.

Walk, jitney (or whatever they are called, and those people work for tips by the way), or boat.

The shuttle is the LAST resort. It drops you near the bus terminal at the citywalk entrance ( where all the dayguests park).it is a LONG hike from there along moving walkways ..I take the boat or walk. The walk is NOT that bad and it is beautiful along the garden canal path

How much time would it take to walk from Portofino to the park entrance? Just curious - we're staying there for the first time this July!

sbrost13 -- so are we! First trip coming up this July. Curious to hear how long the walk is (or feels like) in the July heat.

We were there last year and the walk took us about 20 minutes along the path. If the heat was too much, we used the guys with the bikes (tipped them about $15 to $20 per ride for 2 adults and small child).

Took us 20 mins walking slow..If we walk fast we can make it there in less.It really isn't bad , though it is hot in the afternoon..It is a beautiful path along the water canal and it is shaded .In the heat of the afternoon, we usually took the boat back

10-12 minutes if you use the hard rock cut thru.

doesn't the shuttle drop you off at the end of path that bluer posted? the other option is the bicycle/rickshaw drivers. love doing those and so fast and convenient.

It used to but now it drops you off where all the buses drop off near Citywalk.
