What exactly is the standard view? parking lot? Is it noisy? Are there any rooms with a large balcony (not split?)

All the balconies are split, I believe, bc they are lockoffs. I may be wrong though.

If you request to be near the elevators, you'll be near the bus drop off (at least we were). It isn't noisy, per se, but it's not quiet either.

We have stayed in std 2bds farther away from the elevator. They are quiet.

And rooms face the front of the hotel where the buses drop you off and the parking lot is located.

The standards run along the front of the building except ones toward the end of the hallway face the tennis courts and Studios. Risk of noise is mainly for those rooms nearest the front entrance (nearest the elevator) where they have noisy unloading racks often in the morning. Otherwise, they are fine. Though most face in the direction of the parking lot, they are not actually close to the parking lot (one of the usual complaints about the parking lot is how far away it is is from the building). Most views are of tall trees along the large front lawn in front of the building. Higher floor rooms further down the hall can see Epcot fireworks at night if room's view is not blocked by trees. All balconies for 2BRs are split because all 2BRs are lock-offs (which can be studio and 1BR). Majority of the balconies for the 1BRs actually have two separate balconies, one in front of living room and one in front of the bedroom, and then the studios have their own balcony, and thus for majority of 2BRs you get three separate balconies with no dividing walls.

The luggage noise near elevator which is a short walk goes on all day and until 10 PM. All luggage coming to and from the resort is loaded in to cages and the cages are loaded on and off trucks. This includes luggage to MCO, from MCO, and to and from other resorts.

this is so helpful everyone. thank you so much! we never stayed in a standard view here before (only in a studio boardwalk view) and are super excited to try the 2 bedroom with our extended family. It is helpful to know where the standard rooms are located so that I can figure out a room to request! Is there a map of the 2 bedroom standard view rooms?
