Downtown Disney Pedestrian Bridges

We were in Downtown Disney last night and saw that they had began to install the pedestrian bridges at the intersection of Hotel Plaza Blvd. and Buena Vista Dr. In the end, this will help the traffic flow in that area that has always been an issue.

It appears when it is all said and done, no pedestrian will have to walk across traffic to enter Downtown Disney. Here are a few pics I snapped from the car yesterday.

There will be two pedestrian bridges to connect the hotels across the street with Disney Springs.

Yup. They are coming along pretty well at this point. Yesterday was the first day I saw a piece of the actually bridge going up.

You mean the ones near the parking garages. Yeah, one has been up for a while. These bridges are going up to connect the Hotel Plaza Blvd. hotels with Downtown Disney near the old Marketplace Entrance where the WDW bus stop is.

I took these pictures yesterday and like I said, this was the first day I saw a piece of the actual bridge installed.
 
Will this allow a walk easily from POFQ to DTD? Got a Dec trip and will be visiting DTD.
 


Both bridges are now up and nearing completion I would think. Here's a few shots of the bridges completely up.

For some reason I can never seem to view your pictures. I was wondering when those bridges would be put up...I saw them on the ground when we were there earlier this month. It'll be nice when that area is all completed.

Strange you cannot see my images :(

Both bridges are now up and they continue to work on the stair wells, etc. to complete this project.
