I always book ahead but I booked SSR a week before our stay last May. And also a few years back AKV 4 weeks before, you just never know!

I just got my activation code this morning....stalked the site all day. Beginners luck, I guess, because my wife found a studio at BCV for our weekend trip THIS WEEKEND and a studio at BWV for this coming June. Like many previous posters, a lot of it just depends on luck of the draw/ time of year.

I think if you want 1 or 2 or even sometimes 3 days, there's a LOT more options than those wanting a week.

we are last minute peeps, not just that but we tend our minds at the last minute. We've always had success getting rooms 30 days out and sometimes just days out. Our wait list came through for Wilderness Lodge 30 days out. sometimes we've been lucky at 10 days out. We were prepared to pay rack rates if our wait list didtn come through though

We just decided to extend our may stay (at BLT for 4 days) and lucked into finding someone to rent points from that expire June 1-got a SSR 2 BR for wed-fri night going into Memorial weekend just under 2 weeks out-and there was avail at SSR for pretty much the whole week leading up to Memorial Day weekend (sat and sun were sold out) so had we not already had BLT could have booked 6 or 7 days continuously-got to love last minute point rentals can't beat $8 a point
