50's Section, Near Transportation. Would this be a reasonable request? I am indifferent about which floor I am on.

Thanks for all your help.

Definitely! and hopefully that will get you in building 1 or 3 with a great view of Lady or Tramp! Plenty of rooms for them to choose from since you don't have a floor preference.
Good thing for the 50's section, the buildings are set at an angle and not to close to the pool so even a ground floor should be fine as far as noise level. Upper floors will be quitter but sometimes waiting for an elevator when the kids are ready to get to the pool can seem like forever and the elevators aren't air conditioned and can get pretty warm in there, especially in the summer months!

:tinker:Pixie dust for the perfect room and a great trip!

QUOTE="UtahGuy1986, post: 53597978, member: 371297"]What are the crowds like that week in September? What about the weather?

Thanks again.[/QUOTE]

Lowest crowds of the year, normally level 1-4 max.
Hot & muggy but with the low crowds it is soooo much easier to handle. 90's and rain shower every day. They are only around for a little bit so no
need to leave due to the rain, just get in somewhere and wait it out.
If you have kids, I would recommend: rope drop, stay till mid day (1ish), back to POP for a break/pool time and back to the parks later in the day when it cools down, till park close. A mid day break in the heat of the day is a must when it is hot and muggy.
Epcot has a lot of inside buildings that you could stay in during mid day, The Sea's and The Land can keep you out of the heat/rain for 2-3 hours.
Animal Kingdom is most compact and really feels hotter to me but it closes at 5pm every day during your stay so leaving will be a waist. Your AK day will just be an early evening back to POP or maybe DTD.

Hope this helps! I love Disney in September because of the low crowds. We were there last year September 24- Oct 1. Great weather every day, mid 80's (feels like 90) and a brief shower and low crowds. Then on our last 2 days and it flooded! We waded in water up to our calves just to get to a ressie and the rain never let up till we left. Still loved it! You will too!

Thanks for all your help. No kids this time around, just me and one other. I look forward to low crowds. My last trip was a bucket list trip to see Disney World during the 4th of July...never again.

Then definitely do your own thing on your own time and rest when you want, party when you want and park when you want!
You will love it with no crowds!

What time should we be at the POP bus stop, waiting for the MK bus, if MK opens at 9 am and we want to be there at 8:15 am? I wasn't sure how often the buses come. Thanks.

Buses normally run every 20 minutes. I have never been disappointed by being at the bus stop 60 minutes before I want to be at the park.

Can anyone confirm did pop finally pull the carpet up in the seating area and put tile down and finally re do the seats? They were looking pretty sad last year.

Are you talking in the rooms? I was at Pop last month in building 9 and we had carpet.

I think she's talking about the food court. I'm pretty sure they removed the carpet at ASSp and ASM but I don't think they've done it to Pop yet. I just watched a youtube video from 2 months ago that still showed carpet in Pop's food court.

When we were there in September, they were replacing it in sections.
The area on the side of the windows out to Hippy Dippy pool were done before we left on Oct 1 so I am sure they should be completed by now.

I need some suggestions for travel around WDW on Christmas Day. We were thinking about taking it easy Christmas morning and doing a late character breakfast (around 10:00 or 11:00) and then heading over to EPCOT for the afternoon. The idea was to avoid MK as I have heard it can be a mess on Christmas Day. The breakfast that everyone wants to do, though, is 1900 Park Fare at the GF. Everyone loves this breakfast with the Mad Hatter, and my dad really wants to go because he missed out the last time we went. And the GF is the perfect atmosphere for Christmas. I am a little concerned about trying to get there with all of the traffic going to MK. I have a feeling any travel involving the monorail is out. Maybe take a bus from POP to AK and then try to grab a bus to GF from there? Should we try taxis? We have a party of 10 so we would need a couple of them. Or should we abandon this plan and move the 1900 Park Fare breakfast to a different day and just have a leisurely breakfast at POP or AOA on Christmas morning?

When I was there at the end of January they had almost all of it pulled up and were finishing the last section.

image.jpg image.jpg [GALLERY=][/GALLERY][GALLERY=][/GALLERY]We stayed at Pop over a week ago now, and thought I’d post a little change that happened while we were there. The plastic utensils that use to be right behind the cashiers are now in dispensers at the beverage island. Napkins now take up the space behind the cashiers. And also, I know this is exciting,…..new phone books were put into the bedside tables.

Is the best way to get to a Park Fare breakfast rez at 9:15am to take Pop bus to MK and then monorail to GF? I know we need to leave at least 1 hour before rez but wasn't sure if buses will run. I think MK opens at 9 so don't buses start 1 hour before opening?

Buses start rolling every day at 6:30AM for early ADRs. Yes, you can take bus to MK then either monorail or boat over to GF. After you get off the bus, take a look at the monorail station and the boat dock to see which looks better. Since you have to take 2 modes of WDW transportation, I would be at the Pop bus stop at 7:45.

Thanks when we left they had a section roped off. So that is what I figured. Someone else said they also did the seats as well. Which needed it.

someone in an earlier post was asking if they had peanut butter available like the do jelly and margarine.
I know they had it in September when we were there because I would eat it on my waffles but just wanted to see if you remember seeing them when you were there?
:thanks: :disrocks:
