I just realized/figured out that when my FP window opens, I'll be camping in the mountains! I won't be able to book them until 2 or 3 days later. I realize this is not a huge deal, but I am having a little bit of a planner's freak-out. Please tell me...how bad is this going to be? Tell it to me straight. I can handle it...

As you said, this is not a huge deal.
Hardest to book are Anna & Elsa, maybe Wishes or a MSEP FP+, followed, to a much lesser degree, by 7DMT.
If those are not your goal, don't worry about it.

Have fun camping, and at WDW!

Do you want the A&E meet and greet? If not no problems at all. I'm less than 30 days out and most everything is still available. Even if you want A&E you could rope drop or do a pre-park ADR. Don't stress!!

Its not a huge deal, though if you have specific times etc that you are looking for it becomes a little more of a deal, but 2 or 3 days shouldn't have a huge impact.

Thanks! The only thing I'm really concerned about is 7DMT. No A&E for us, this is a adults only trip! I kinda figured that I would be okay, but it's always reassuring to hear it from someone else. :thanks:

Isn't that what satellite phones are for? ;) I mean, Jack Bauer always had one and it always worked. :p

If it helps, I had a little better luck several days into my 60 day window.

Another idea: Is there a friend you could trust with your id and password to give it a try? Even if they didn't do everything perfect, it might be better than nothing.

Any trustworthy family members? Could give them log in info to try to do it for you. I had to do my MIL account for a discount while she was away in Atlanta for work.

That is what I was going to suggest A friend or family member....just to get any hard to get reservations you are looking for. You can do the rest later no problem.

could you convince yrou DH to change from camping in the woods, to camping in the nearest best western or hotel 6? that way you can still camp and still book fp+.

And bonus to you for actually going camping. DH could NEVER talk me into that one!!! me +bugs= don't coexist!

I will second this:thumbsup2

Do you have someone you trust that can do them online for you?

Wow for Disney nut I have to say...HOW COULD YOU! Don't sweat it. It's only a couple of days. If it was that competitive there would be nothing left at 30 days.

Aside from A&E and limited mine train, MSEP, and wishes. Everything else is fully available every time I book at 30 days out

I stay with my folks when I visit the world, but this year we decided to add a few nights at the cabins about a week past our FP window. We were able to get everything we wanted sans Mine Train. (A solid RD strategy always remedies that.) My folks pop into the parks all the time, and can pick up just about anything for two people at the last minute, including A&E and Mine Train. Enjoy your camping trip!

We just added a day on to the end of our trip, so that was booked for fp+'s at 40 days out. While we ultimately ended up selecting fp+'s for Epcot, there was lots of availability for the Mk- with the exception of A&E of course. We didn't look at HS or AK, but we had no problems with fp+'s at Epcot.
