HI EVERYONE!

I am getting married at Disney World one October 5th at 1pm. Why I am posting this is if any of you could give me some tips or pointers I would really appreciate it. I am having problems getting anyone who works at Disney to help me so I would be grateful for any and all help, hints, and tips you can throw at me. THANKS
Tina

...which package are you doing? Where is your ceremony? Your reception (if applicable) location? Is there any specific tips you're looking for?

First congrats on your wedding too Yay for Disney brides lol. I have the memories package and its at the Polynesian. I don't have a reception with my package. And I just didn't know if anyone had tips, things to make it better just any tips really :)

Congratulations! A Disney wedding is so much fun.... we were married last October 10, 2014, so might be able to help! What are you looking for ? Weather tips? Venue choices? Food? Disney can do almost anything you want... just might have to make decisions about price and location.... you need to determine what is important to you. For us, it was most important to have the whole family together (about 50 people) and to include both the Germany and Italian Pavilions in our plans, wanted to include Illuminations, and wanted to keep it under $25,000. I am please to say we got it all and then some. Being at EPCOT meant not really having to worry about a bunch of decorations or music... we had the entire Italy Isola for a "welcome dinner" and Illuminations, then wedding in Germany the next morning and then Brunch Reception at The California Grill. We never felt like we skimped on anything and had the time of our lives... even had Chip and Dale there! The weather was a bit warmer then we had hoped... but it was fine... and not a drop of rain the whole time!

The Polynesian will be awesome in October! At the beginning of the month the weather will still probably be really hot! The good news is crowds will be pretty reasonable and as a Bonus Food & Wine will be on. Are you inviting anyone or will it just be you and your other half 'running away together'? If I was you I'd book a nice dinner for that night and order a cake for the meal. Any hotel restaurant you will be able to wear your dress (in the parks that's not allowed - unless you book a photoshoot or arrange a Dessert Party)

Personally I'd book a dinner at California Grill on your wedding day for an hour to an hour and a half before the fireworks are scheduled and contact them to order a custom cake @lurkyloo is the queen of cakes - and the queen of Disney weddings too! She wrote the book (literally the Passporter's Guide to Disney Weddings it's awesome!) on them! I'm sure she'll be along in a bit to fill in anything else.

Congrats! Planning with Disney is so easy but they make you wait so long to start! That was the stressful part for me!

Good luck and if you have anything specific let us know!

One personal tip - if you want to use the limo but are staying at a monorail resort and don't need it for your wedding day they'll let you use it to take you to the airport at the end of your trip! I'm using mine to go to final breakfast at Chef Mickey's and then to the airport to avoid ME.

Wow Carrie beat me to it, lol!

Ok does anyone know if disney will be doing the free dining plan promotion this year? I have made reso at narocess (sp) at the grand floridian i liked the fact i can wear my dress and see the fireworks and water parade. But it is very exspensive so i was really hopping that the dinning plan promo would be offered because they accept the plan. Or do any of you know some money saving tips or cupons?

Hi I was wondering if you could give me some advice or know someone who can. I am having my wedding dinner at NARCOOSSEE'S at the grand Floridian. I heard I could wear my wedding dress there is this true? Also we will be coming form the art of animation hotel, which would be the best way to get to the restaurant, I have heard by boat is best? But I am not sure how to do that. And any ideas how I could get a nice table to see fireworks and parade because it is my wedding?? thanks!

Here's info on how to order your own cake, if you want one: http://disneytravelbabble.com/how-to/order-cake/

Yes you can wear you wedding dress at Narcoosee's. The only way to get from AoA to the Grand is to take a bus to one of the theme parks then transfer. MK would be best then you can use either the boat or the monorail to get to the Grand. My suggestion would be to take a cab though. It shouldn't cost more than $20 and would be a TON easier. The only way to request a table is to ask at the podium when checking in.

Congrats! We are getting married there on Oct 9th (Sea Breeze Point) and have also run into challenges, especially trying to plan our reception. With the Escape package, they don't offer any assistance with things beyond the ceremony and that's been tough. I've been struggling with making a group reservation (13 people) for our dinner "reception" meal - they have a lot of restrictions on seating time (5:30pm only) and do not make any exceptions for wedding groups. This will force us to do a catered event, which is fine, but much more expensive considering the small size of our group.

If you're open to 'non'Disney try the Swan and Dolphin restaurants. We're having our 'rehearsal' dinner at Garden Grove character meal for their regular price at 630 for 20 people and it was no problem. They also do set menus for groups at Il Mulino and just about all the other restaurants I think - and no time restrictions! So much easier! Plus you'll be very nearby at SeaBreeze Point!
