After I cancel a waitlist, can I retry for the same waitlist request?

A few months back, I waitlisted 3 nights at AKV. I had the waitlist for about a month and it never came through, so I cancelled that waitlist and did OKW. After I did that, I decided I still wanted AKV and cancelled the OKW waitlist and trid to waitlist the same exact days/room type at AKV as I originally had. The system wouldnt let me! Does anyone know anything about having, cancelling, and remaking the same waitlist for a stay and if it is 'allowed'? I ultimately ended up getting the room but only by checking the RAT. I havent thought about it again until now as I am thinking of waitlisting for an upcoming trip but wanted to pick your brains to see if there were any waitlist restrictions or rules. Thanks guys!

The only restriction is that they now limit you to only 2 active waitlists at a time.

Thanks Bill! Yes I did know that but have you ever heard of the system not allowing me to make 2 of the same waitlists for the same stay?

No - you can definitely do it. I have done this multiple times due to my wishy washy nature. I keep waiting for the "Cease and Desist" letter from Disney since I am always messing around with my online reservations. :crazy2:
