Ticket Promo coming soon?

I believe you have to renew from 60 days prior to 30 days after expiration. But a renewal just extends the expiration date one year, so there's really no benefit to waiting longer.
This. If your AP expires in Aug and you renew it in Oct, the new one will still expire the following Aug

We are going in November and the 4 day 4 park would be perfect for us! Fingers crossed!

We check in the last day of May. Wife and I have annual passes, but need 3 for the kids (ages 4 to 9). So far best option is just under $1100 for standard 10 day passes that expire 14 days after first use.
Please post any info or links anyone may come across on this thread (yes, I know...an OBVIOUS request:)).
Thanks!

Adam

No news yet. As soon as there is a ticket special, it will be listed on the dvc member site under membership magic - special offers. The latest thing there is still the alex and Ani bracelet

Is there any credible reason to believe a promotion will be coming out shortly. Or is this just speculating / wishful thinking?

Haha a couple of eager member service representatives stressed checking membership magic for special offers prior to upcoming vacations and a few of us posted here. Actually had to call today about changing ME for an upcoming vacation and my representative said it is always good to check prior to leaving on a trip because they haven't had a ticket special in a while (since 12/31) but she did say they have no knowledge of any promotions until they are released-for what it is worth lol

I have already bought a 4 day park pass. If a DVC discount came out for APs could I upgrade the tickets for the AP at the discounted price or am I out of luck? TIA!

Probably. They've allowed that in the past as long as the tickets you have cost less than the pass you want.

Keep an eye on the DIS - if an offer comes out, there will be others with the same question. Someone will have actual experience with the offer & will share it with the group. :)

We purchased the renewal DVC AP in order to book FP+s for our trip which starts at the end of next week. If we activate our passes next Saturday and Disney offers the DVC PAP at a discount soon, can we change to a PAP?

I have no doubt it will happen this year :). We just cancelled our DVC reservation and rented the point through Daves. We decided to take a summer off and go visit the dark side since our AP's had expired. It's just my luck :).

So I am going to throw this out there they only did PAP for AP price once a few years ago. Thought it did go over well they still lost a lot of money and the person that put out that promotion was fired. So as much as I would love to see this promo again this year I know that it won't happen because it didn't work the way they wanted it to last time.

I think you're mistaken, on a number of points.
1. The promo has happened twice
2. I was not a PAP for the price of an AP. It was a discounted PAP, and still priced higher than the AP. Last year, there was a price increase during the promotional period, so the special PAP deal ended up $1 less than the discounted AP.
3. The first promo was under previous management, but the second was under current management.

In addition to this they also did the discounted 4 park ticket just last year which was under current management and not something that had been done before.
