One night CB or Hyatt Place?

Trying to decide if I should spend one night at Hyatt Place or Cabana Bay before transferring for one night at RPR. We're looking at one night offsite to save some money since we're arriving so late. (This is a little side trip before hitting up Epcot food & wine and our first time to Orlando!) We would arrive Sat evening & check out City Walk then do the parks Sun with FOTL from our RPR stay that night. I'm not sure if we should stay CB or Hyatt Place for Sat night, they're the same price. We're two friends in our mid twenties so walking to City Walk isn't a problem. I'm inclined to stay at HP because I've had good experiences with the chain in the past & CB appears to be a little too "Disney Value" like (loud decore, lots of kids probably) for our girls getaway even though it's just one night. I also like that in case we get in super late Sat I know I can get a bite to eat at HP 24/7. While I'm obviously leaning toward HP I wanted to ask those with experience down there if there are some upsides to CB for one evening that I might be missing?

I stayed at CB for a Girls only weekend and had a great time. There are some great lounges and places for you to hang out. We didn't have too many problem with kids. And JMO but CB puts the Disney values to shame It's really a nice hotel. The food court is nice not fabulous but there are some great options. The big plus to CB is the early entry to Harry Potter. If getting a bit 24/7 is important HP might be better. Because I think one of the lounges shuts down at 1 am.

My sister who loves RP wanted to stay at Royal Pacific but after our visit she can't wait to go back to Cabana Bay. You might be surprised. If you do go, try to stay in the towers area it tends to be more quiet.

I'd do Cabana Bay. It is nothing like the Disney Value resorts, IMHO. Decor isn't loud and there aren't a ton of kids. You can take transportation to Citywalk from CBBR and it has nice pool bars, Starbucks, lounges, etc. In the morning you can just hop the shuttle to Citywalk and hop the shuttle to RPR. Takes very little effort.

I feel a lot better about CB now, I'm even kinda excited so we're gonna give it a shot after all! (I can always pack some extra granola bars in case of bad flight delays missing food hours.) Thanks!

Cool. I hope you have a great time.

Both are good hotels. You will get breakfast with HP. But I love Cabana Bay. So you can go wrong either way.

I would think Cabana Bay would be much easier for switching resorts the next day. (don't they move your luggage for free if you are moving to a deluxe?)

For us, we are staying at the Doubletree across the street with points after our 1 night stay at HRH. Transferring our luggage will be more of a pain but oh, well.

They don't switch you luggage if you are coming from Cabana Bay.

I was looking up some other stuff recently and this post from another thread caught my eye.

Not so, yellowfish...we moved from CBBR to RPR and they moved our bags for us. We left them with bell services at CBBR and then checked in with bell services at RPR when we got there. It did take some prodding to get our bags back, but that was just a service lapse, not a service plan. ;-) I have heard that the deluxes won't move you to CBBR, so it may not work in the other direction--but it worked for us moving TO the deluxe.

We did three nights in a family suite at CBBR and then moved to RPR for one night. The only reason we moved was to get the express passes, so with four nights onsite we had two days of express passes and four days of early entry. We were travelling with two adults and three kids. I actually didn't like RPR nearly as much as I liked CBBR. The CBBR Lazy River was awesome, and the theming is so much fun. But we did enjoy the express passes that only come with a deluxe. YMMV.
