Hello all! All first timers from the UK who will be visiting disneyworld, would really appreciate some advice on the best place to buy disneyworld tickets from the UK? Also would people recommend windsor hills as a good place to stay? Toying up between that and a hotel, for a family of 5...thanks so much in advance!

We just stayed in a 3 bedroom condo at Windsor Hills a couple of weeks ago and we absolutely loved it. It's so nice to have all that space and still be in a resort setting.

My family in the past have always used floridatix website. We bought the disney and universal combo ticket and it worked out cheaper. They have just disney ones too so worth a look?

We bought our tickets through Orlando Attraction Tickets for our upcoming holiday and have had no problem linking them to the My Disney Experience account. They did take a couple of weeks to arrive as they said they were waiting for stock to arrive from the USA. I normally check a few companies to see who has the best price when I want to buy. In the past I have used Attraction Tickets Direct and Undercover Tourist.

As for Windsor Hills, we have stayed there 4 times now and are returning in July after staying at WDW for a few days first. I love the extra space, extra bathrooms and having a washer dryer! We find it close enough to the parks, animal Kingdom is the nearest, and there are plenty of restaurants and a Publix and Super Target nearby (for groceries). You will need a car though.

The properties are individually owned, so the standard of furnishing will differ. The last place we stayed offered daily cleaning (at a cost) but we opted for a few extra cleans so we didn't have to do much more than empty the trash and load the dishwasher after breakfast :goodvibes

Hope you manage to decide what will be best for your family, there are so many different options!

Orlando Attraction Tickets currently have a promo for £5 off per disney ticket using the code MSE5... In the past i've also used floridatix, attraction tickets direct and american attractions

Kenwood travel had a really good deal on saved myself £250 yes its a voucher but dont care for that saving will go to animal kingdom first day anyway sometime mid morning so queues will be non existent.

did you stay in a condo, townhome or pool home at windsor hills?

Hi Beth, we stayed in a Townhome 3 times ( they have 2 br/2bath upstairs and 1 br/1 bath downstairs with a splash pool ) and a 3 br condo twice ( this had 3 br/ 2 bath and a small balcony), we also stayed at a Townhome at Emerald Island and a 4 br villa on Windsor Palms :goodvibes

i'm nervous about it as we've never rented from a private person before, but on the other hand i think it will be such a better vacation for us at this stage.
We're very much on property people these days, but back when my kids (now 30 and 28) were toddlers, we always took a suite with a full kitchen so that the kids could have proper meals at least twice a day. I found it much easier back then to do it that way.
but once they got older, we switched to on property.
But now that we have to consider toddlers again, i think it best to go back to the suite with a kitchen.
If i were a zillionaire, i'd go with an on property villa....but alas, i'm not....so i think one of the windsor hills homes with private pool might really be the perfect thing for us...
and with all the money we'll save, we can rent 3 cars and give each couple maximum flexibility.
And this way we're all together under one roof, which is a plus for us...

i just have to get over my nervousness about renting a house this way!!!!....

sorry for being off topic!!!! i just realised this is a thread about tickets!!!!! :)

Hi Beth, you could always stay somewhere like Wyndham Bonnet Creek or Sheraton Vistana, still a resort feel but condos with 2 and 3 bedroom if that would be big enough.

my kids are getting excited at the thought of a private pool..
and they like the idea of us all being in one house together..
so 5 beds/5 baths seems the way to go
