Had to get a water view.................I will stalk to get a standard room, if it becomes available...........

Woohoo! Hit them ADR's. Why not keep the waterview so as to not get the parking lot view.

I booked CBR with free dining on Monday and had to get a water view pirate themed room because that's all that was left. On Tuesday I checked again and was able to switch to a preferred room, which is what I really wanted. So excited. Keep trying!

The preferred room was going to cost us $300 more than the water/pool view room for 7 nights.

POR Riverside just came available, garden view, saved me $200 compared to water view at Caribbean Beach, whoo hoo

Thanks for posting that you are getting CBR. I was able to modify my reservation to add another day! I had to move from a preferred room to standard but we wanted standard to begin with.

There might be a preferred room available now from 12-19 to 12-25 if anyone is looking!

Switched from POF to CBR on Monday, wanted to take advantage of the free dinng, got the king bed, just had to get up at five in the morning to get it done, took a nap later though.

This will be our 34th visit to WDW.

I tried adding one day to our existing Ressie 10/31-11/5 preferred room at CBR but I was told nothing avail. I searched for standard rooms if that was an option CM said not avail. I did do an independent search standard rooms avail for the timeframe but not included in the promo. I was a bit disappointed especially because I would keep preferred because it was my original request even before FD.

I've been looking online every day to switch from CBR pirate-water view to a standard or just plain water view. The pirate rooms are cute, but not worth the extra expense for us. Any suggestions on strategy? Is it better to call vs. checking online? I've seen a few posts claim they have gotten rooms by calling in that did not show up online. What are the best times to check? Early morning, and late night?

We got CBR standard for Nov8th-Nov13. We really wanted to start on the 6th or the 7th (Hubby already has those days off) but with FD, we had to start on the 8th. Tried to get a RO standard view for the 6th/7th or just the 7th, but the only thing popping up is preferred, and I'd hate to have to switch rooms. I'd rather rent DVC points and stay at a deluxe for the same price or cheaper if we knew there was no way of keeping the same room (as would be the case if we went from preferred to standard) Anyone have good tips for stalking rooms?? Or know when there will be any RO discounts for early November??
