Any of you guys ever gone over to LegoLand during a stay in the Orlando area? Doesn't look to be too hard to get to. My two daughters love playing with the Lego blocks and I'm always looking for something off Disney property to do, like last trip we took a day off property to do Sea World.

Just wondering what you guys thought about it.

I have never been but my aunt told me I need to go! She took her kids last sunmer and they loved it! She also told me she had a coupon from the club lego magazine that was some sort of buy one get one free discount on admission.

We took my son last year and he loved it.He was able to ride all of the roller coasters. I think it took us about an hour to get there from AS Sports. There were lots of traffic lights on 27.

I live right next to Legoland. Its about 40 minutes from Disney. I4 to 27 to Cypress Gardens Blvd(540). Super easy.

We went a couple years ago and my kids had a fantastic time. They were 10 and 7. DH and I were a little bored, unlike Disney, but it is so perfect for younger kids. One of their favorite parts was the ultra cheesy firefighter show. Make sure and check around for discounts...we got two for one tickets and it made it very affordable. The restaurants were...not Disney, but edible.

Thanks guys! We are still debating it at this point.

Do you think this can be done sufficiently in one day? We went to Legoland in California 2 years ago and had 2 days there with our package. We're considering going next month when we're down in Orlando, but aren't sure if we'd need one day or two. One day would obviously be cheaper, but it's hard to decide since we had two days last time. Kids are 9, 7 and 3.

For our family 1 day was enough. DS was 5 at the time and he was able to get on everything but the older kids driving school. We did not do any of the shows.

One day is enough if you just plan to do just the main park, I would suggest two if you plan on also doing the water park.

Thanks, everyone! Our kids are big into Legos right now, which is why we were thinking about adding this on. Glad to hear that one day will be enough!

We did it a couple years ago and it was fantastic! My boys were a little older, but my youngest lives and breathes Legos--we literally have a Lego room at the house!--so decided to go anyway. We were lucky enough to go on a Tuesday at the end of August and the park was absolutely empty. They walked on every single ride with no more than a 5 minute wait for anything. And spending time in Miniland was amazing. You could spend hours just looking at all the models. We did it in one day, including a little time in the water park, but didn't see the water ski show or go to the gardens at all. Definitely look for discounts. But I do think one day is fine--you'll get to do most everything and take some time to just look at all the amazing models.

Oh, and if anyone is unsure about driving, there is a shuttle run by Legoland. We did this a couple years ago, although I know the pickup point has changed now. It was only $5 per person round trip and it had you there from just after park opening until park closing. It's the big comfortable bus with movies playing for the kids. Was well worth the price!

I took my kids on a field trip there several years ago they loved it. Its an amazing park for kids upto about the 4th grade. past that your kids might get a little bored if they arent seriously into legos.

my hint would be to pack a lunch or head out of the park for food. the food there is seriously not even close to disney qs standards.

About 45 minutes to get there from Disney property and one day is enough if you get there at park opening.

I just got an email from Lego yesterday that said any purchase you make from shop.lego.com you will get a voucher in your cart for buy one ticket and get one free

We typically go here for a non-Disney park day and the kids LOVE it. And yes, you can make it through that park in a day.

Costco.com has an eticket for 1 day for 54.95 online for the Florida location.

There is a May promo for military, police, ems - one free ticket plus $40 for additional tickets.
