Are there better/worse days to visit each park?

My family and I will be visiting DLP at the end of this month, May 26-29. The last time we were there was so long ago there was only one park and it was still called Euro Disney - so none of that experience is of any help to us at all! The first and last days will be half days at the DL park; I'm trying to figure out whether Wednesday or Thursday would be best for our day at the Studios. Any thoughts? Or does it even make any difference? Mainly just trying to plan so I can make some dining reservations this week; we'd like to do dinners at Blue Lagoon and Chez Remy.

Also, any guesses as to what crowds will be like? I'm hoping light since it's the middle of the week but we can deal if it's crowded; just want to set our expectations.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I wondering if it's not UK half term or something that week with the Monday being Whitsun :confused3 If that's the case all days will be busyish buut I'd avoid Wednesday as French schools have either half day or full day off school.

That week is indeed UK half term, so expect the parks to be busy with an influx of British visitors. And some longer lines in wait than normal as four attractions are closed for refurbishment that week.

Thank you both for your quick responses!

I should have been more clear in my OP: we will be going to one of the two parks all day on Wednesday, the other all day Thursday, so I'm trying to decide which one should be the Studios. Would the Wednesday school closure have a larger impact on one park vs the other? I'm know I'm probably overthinking this - just trying to maximize a short visit :)

Do you have tickets that only let you in one park each day?

We visit both parks every day. Maybe even going in and out a couple of times as we fancy.

Just depends on what we want to see or do. Only takes a couple of minutes to switch.

I would get park hopper tickets too and visit both parks. Walt Disney Studios closes at 6pm and Parc Disneyland closes at 11pm when you visit, so getting a hopper tickets will give you the opportunity of visiting both parks the the days you visit. This would be a better use of your time and you can go to the main park on the day you visit WDS.

We are staying on site at the SL and will have the tickets that are included in the package - hopefully those are park hoppers? If so, we will take your advice to just hop between as crowds and whims dictate!

Yes they are, and you can also take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and enter Parc Disneyland at 8 am as well.
Have a fun trip.

Yep. That's great then.

Definitely do Magic Hours. Then hop over to Studios for opening.

We also find the last hour or so before closing is good in the studios.

While official opening is at 10, usually people start to queue outside at 9:20 and at 9:45 the park opens. It's quite important to be at 9:30 maximum (9:20 it's better) in from of the park, so you can be among the firsts to enter and go straight to Nemo. It has a terrible hourly capacity and a 90 minutes wait develop in a matter of minutes and it stays that way all day. Also, it has no fast pass: Ratatuille can be done easily with FP or single rider, so Nemo in the highest priority first thing in the morning if you want to do it.

The Studio gates open at 9:30am each day and although rides are supposed to open at 10am often some open before this (if the staff are there and they are ready to open). We usually get to the Studio gates for around 9:15 so we are first in and then go straight to Crush's Coaster. We are usually amongst the first on and are off the ride just after 10am. Then we go to Ratatouille for a fastpass for later.
