I just received an email from WDTC this morning with what looked like a November offer. It said:
Experience the
Magic in November
when you purchase a 6-night/7-day Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package that includes accommodations and Theme
Park tickets!
For example, stay at Select
Disney Value Resorts
$ 808 * per adult
based on adult double occupancy in a standard room.
For stays most nights
11/1/15-11/5/15, 11/9/15-11/20/15 and 11/28/15-11/30/15.
*The number of packages available at this rate is limited. Tickets are for one Theme Park per day and must be used within 14 days of first use.

Walt Disney Travel Company
Packages available for other dates at varying rates, just ask when you call!

Unfortunately, when I called to try to book this package, the CM I spoke to said that "marketing" kind of jumped the gun and sent this blast out before the rates were actually posted, so he couldn't give me any promotions. He did say that judging by the email I received, some type of November promo is in the works, its just not supposed to be available quite yet. Did anyone else get this email? Can anyone decode it for me and try to figure out what the November discount they're referencing might be??

Thats interesting! I wonder what they are rolling out. Maybe it will be like the stay dine play offers and offer an extra ticket day or room discount?

I hope it means that offers are coming soon!

I priced out a room/tix package online with regular rates at Pop, std room, 11/1 check in, 11/7 check out (6 nights/ 7 days) for 2 adults:
(Room only $758.25)
Room with 7 day non-hopper tix $1,474.62
Price Per adult $737.31

I don't think what you got would be a good deal in that case? Bummer, because DH and I plan to travel 11/29 and it would have been nice.

We are also going in Nov. 1-8. Can't wait to see what discounts come out. Hope they are really good!!! This is our first family vaca and first to Disney. Im hoping discount is good enough so I can get deluxe dinning for the all inclusive feel. So excited I can't stand it!! I had also read somewhere that deals could be announced as early as April since the latest round of discounts came out earlier than normal

Forgive me for the naive questions but I'm new to this site!

I'm taking my mother for a surprise trip in November (10-15), and will need room only. As you all seem to be pretty knowledgeable about this kind of stuff, when is the best time to book? I'm assuming they'll offer a discount for the fall as they've had in years past. Should I wait to book a room until then? Or, should I book now and will they honor the price after the discounts are released? Just want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck is all!

You can book a room any time, of course, but the general understanding around here is that the more rooms at a resort that are booked before discounts are released make it less likely for that resort to be included in the forthcoming discount (Disney is not motivated to discount a resort if it's well-booked already). Also, if you a reservation for a garden view or standard room, that resort may be included in the discount, but if that category of room is not included in the discount, you can not apply the discount to your reservation; you will need to call and cancel and rebook. So, either way you will have to call and rebook or—if you're lucky to have guessed right—have the discount applied. If you need a discount to go, it makes sense to just wait and see what goes on sale. If you don't need the discount and you want a certain room/resort no matter what, then go ahead and book it.

Want to add: room only discounts for fall are generally released in the summer.

I'm going to join in here! Planning for the 11/15 to 11/21 to celebrate my son's 4th birthday on 11/16. First WDW trip for DH and DS. We are struggling to fit the trip in our budget and free dining would be a huge help!!

I did, I was online around 330is am...on Monday...I was working..lol The only thing available at that time was preferred room which really jacked up my overall price. I am very happy I got a room for our dates, but sad that I paid so much more, I guess free ding this year is discounted! Definately better than nothing, and I am so happy to be trying CBR! Did ot go good for you?

Yay! I'm so glad you got what you wanted!! :goodvibes

Everything at CBR (aside from pirate rooms) was booked up, but I was able to get a standard at CSR! So we're pretty happy with what we got too!
