CRT first day

Hi,
Well, it's ADR day on Wednesday. We are travelling from the UK so expecting to be awake VERY early on our first day.
We are hoping for an ADR at CRT for that day but I know it's very hard to get, so, my question is .... If I can't get CRT for that first day, shall I book Arkeshus castle instead BUT if I can CRT for a later date, do I just wait and do that??
If I wait to do CRT any ideas for our first morning???

I'm sure it depends on when you are going but I had no problem getting an ADR for CRT several weeks after my 180 days. We are going the end of May and I didn't book dining reservations until towards the end of December. I was able to get an 8:05 pre-park opening time no problem and I could easily have gotten a dinner or lunch time so I think you will be ok.

If you're planning CRT on your arrival day that could be a recipe for disaster. CRT is an expensive no show. If plane's later or some other delay you can't cancel and get your money back past 24 hours.

We would be arriving the evening before, it would be our first day at the parks xxx

I just made ADR's for the last week of October a week ago. CRT was available the 2nd day of our trip for many times. I checked again the next day in the afternoon (the actual 180 day) and by then it was booked up. so I definitely think there is hope. ADR's get taken up way faster in the fall due to FD. When we went May 2014, I made all ADR's 4 months out and got CRT. Now I just looked again for last week of Oct 2015 and don't see one CRT open for the week.
