DW anjd I have a reservation for Flying Fish in 27 days (not counting..no..not me)

Was wondering if I should keep it or opt for a single credit dining option in EPCOT.

We are doing Narcoossees, Yachtsman and not sure if we really need another signature dining option.

So..question is..Flying Fish..worth 2 or not??

Thanks!

FLying Fish was one of my favorites last October. Food was delicious and the wine pairings perfect

It's traditionally been one of our favorites and a go too on property. They had one misstep with food for us last trip, but one strike and you're not yet out in my book. If you can, I'd go as the one credits at epcot aren't even in the same league

Not that you asked for this specifically, but we would keep FF over Yachtsman. :)

FF is the first restaurant my boys ask for!! We had a FABULOUS meal there on our last trip!! It's definitely on the list for the next trip too!

In our opinion Flying Fish is the best restaurat on property.

We didn't think much of Yachtsmans though

It was recommended to us by several friends as their favorite. We tried it last trip and while it was OK, I would not go back for two credits. Service was good, plenty of food, I love fish, but it was just not that special.

Just had another fantastic dinner there last Saturday. Once again, best meal of the trip!!

Flying Fish is one of my favorites on property! Just ate there in March.
I love sitting at the Chef's counter...watching and conversing with the chef's while they cook.
Love their char crusted NY strip and potato wrapped snapper....these are signature dishes there.
They did change the menu tho...you used to be able to get a Duo Entree of smaller portions of both.
In March I found that they had taken the Duo entree off the menu :( so I actually had to DECIDE which I wanted LOL
I went with the Char crusted NY strip. They do steak great here...so flavorful and cooked perfectly.
Next time I will go with the snapper because I love both of those entrees.

I know we're in the minority here, but had the worst (well, second worst) meal we're ever had here. It was new year's eve, but still the dinner took well over 2 hours (over an hour after we ordered for our food to come out, and my potato crusted fish was stone cold and horrible). We've never been back - no desire to give it another chance.

Sadly it was far from worth it for my husband and I in November. It was overly expensive(we were not on the dining plan) and my potato wrapped snapper was lacking any sort of flavor. I was just left underwhelmed. I enjoyed our Yachtsman dinner and Citricos much more. But I'm sure it's up to each person's taste. I hope you enjoy yours! :)

I recently went there for my birthday and could not have been more pleased with everything about the meal. I grew up on the beach and love seafood. Most restaurants never quite get it the way I want it and like .... Flying Fish was spot on. I had the Idaho potato wrapped snapper and it was awesome (sorry your wasn't @ChrissyBeth29 ) Looking forward to heading back soon.

To me it was a bit spendy price wise. It is Disney so I was not shocked when I saw the prices even before we visited. $40.00 for snapper is pretty high, although it was very good.

Great meal
Great wine list
It can get a little tight at some tables (to me) but that is not all that bad in the end

So we went to FF for the first time last Thursday, and we were underwhelmed too. We were seated in the draped side room and our server was erratic. But it was the food that was the downer - the appetizers were crab cakes for me (too much filler), calamari and shrimp flash fried (shrimp okay, calamari too many tentacles), and corn bisque (best). Dinner was better - salmon teriyaki (good), sesame tuna (good as were the pickled veggies), and scallops and risotto (3 scallops and lots of risotto - poor value, risotto was thick). The wine list was good, and we had no dessert. The food just didn't wow us. Will probably try it again but not immediately.

Flying Fish was magnificent, truly. However, from a purely pennies and dollars side of the question, Two-Credit restaurants are rarely a good value for the money (they usually cost 1.5x a one-credit meal). We never get the Dining Plan anymore, so when we went to FF they just split our entree, which was more than enough food and really affordable, all in all.
