Storing groceries for early arrival?

We'll be heading up from a few days at Legoland, and are assuming our cabin won't be ready at 11:00 a.m. or so when we arrive.

Does FW have facilities to store groceries for you as we've had done at hotels?

We'd like to grab groceries early, check in, then head out to the park for the day rather than doubling back out for groceries in the evening. Just wondering if that is feasible.

Thanks!

I don't know the answer for sure, but we always order food from Garden Grocer and most of the time it is delivered before we get to our resort (OKW 80% of the time). Bell Services always stores it for us (including keeping the perishables cold). They deliver the food with our luggage. I would imagine that FW has similar storage capabilities available.

Thanks beccasmom. I realize the resorts offer that service; we've used it multiple times, that's why I was wondering if the campground also offered it. We also know about delivery...I'd rather get my own groceries if FW can store them...otherwise I'll call WeGoShop for a late day delivery (I will not use and would not recommend Garden Grocer...we tried them once and got produce that was on it's last legs, freezer burned vegetables, squashed bread, and other delights...WeGoShop delivers quality goods).

. . . yes
. . . we have the same frig/freezer unit the other resorts have
. . . it is located in the Luggage Room (accessible by Bell Services or Front Desk personnel)

. . . no problem

Thanks Rusty Scupper. As always, I'm in awe of your info and grateful you share it!

This is :offtopic: but TRS over on the DIS Restaurant board shared a few facts about the famous WDW Turkey Legs. Clearly he had inside intelligence with health/nutritional info and not just how many sold per year and where.

After reading his turkey info (and I am grateful, MartDM, that he shared it also), I'll never eat another WDW turkey leg again unless I am at least 30 days from my next physical and blood test.:sad2:

WDW TURKEY LEGS "411":
1) Disney sells about 1.5 MILLION turkey legs every year!
2) That is about 7 turkey legs for every man-woman-child in Orlando.
3) Each of these bird legs weighs about 1.5 pounds for about $12 or 1-CS DDP Credit.
4) They supposedly come from 40-50 pound turkeys!
5) Nutrition, per Lisa Haines, VP Communications, WDW
. . . about a half day's worth of a grown-man's calorie goal (1,092 cal each leg)
. . . about a day's worth of a grown-man's fat goal (54 gr each leg)
. . . about two day's worth of a grown-man's sodium goal (5,283 gr each leg)
6) Recipe
. . . take uber-monstrous one leg
. . . inject copious amounts of salt brine
. . . smoke slowly at 225º for 4 hrs.
7) Available at the below (all Turkey Legs taste the same, and from he same vendor)
. . . MK - Liberty Square at Turkey Leg Cart
. . . MK - Tomorrowland at Launching Pad
. . . EP - America Adventure at Fife and Drum Tavern
. . . AK - Flame Tree BBQ at Safari Turkey
. . . AK - Dinoland at Trilo Bites
. . . AK - Africa at Flame Tree BBQ
. . . HS - Tower of Terror at Toluca Legs Turkey Company
. . . TL - Surf Doggies
. . . BL - Avalaunch
NOTE: We really do like the taste of the turkey legs. However, we seldom finish one,
so we save the calories for later. We still get the legs when we have a hankerin'. In
addition, they do seem to be pretty "stringy".

Um...ew! Never found myself hankering one of those (although the hubs is prone to getting one at a local fair here every year) - don't believe I ever will! Blech!

Thanks for the info about a fridge in luggage services.

We'll be arriving the night before and staying at the airport. Our plans for the next day are to have a leisurely breakfast, drop off our luggage at the Fort, and then go grocery shopping, excluding perishables, until our cabin is ready. If they can store them, we can save a trip to the supermarket.

Would this still apply for RV too? We are renting one that will be set up for us and I'm certain with our drive everything will be done before we arrive. Will they deliver for that too or should we pick up our own?
