Cheap Tickets Question

I just discovered Cheap Tickets this week thanks to a thread here on the Dis. Right now they have a promo for 20% hotels which ends today. A new promo is supposed to start tomorrow. I'm trying to determine how good the 20% off is for Cheap Tickets historically. In other words, are there likely to be better promos in the future or is this about as good as they offer?

They very rarely go higher than 20%. Note that their current 20% off coupon isn't valid for the Disney resorts, but Orbitz has a 15% off coupon that is valid for Disney resorts - REVIEW15. Minimum stay is 2 nights.

Thanks! I am actually using Cheap Tickets to book a Universal hotel which does qualify for the 20% discount.

I had originally booked Cheap Tickets with a 20% for Portifino Bay. Then a few weeks later a 25% off code was emailed out...but you had to be one of the first 100 people to book. I was...so I booked using that code and canceled the original reservation. The credit for the original reservation was placed back on my credit card within 4 business days.

Our Cheap Ticket discount was better than the annual pass discount.

I have seen an occasional 22% or 25% discount code. They send them out in an email which I usually get around 11:30 east coast time.

Remember, if you have children do not put them in your reservation through Cheap Tickets. CheapTickets counts them as an adult and you will be charged an additional $25 per night per kid. We added the two boys on when we arrived at the hotel.

I would book it . When I booked, it was made clear that it could cancel the reservation penalty free up until 5 days before my arrival date.

Here is the website: http://www.cheaptickets.com/

Any thing I learned about CheapTickets was through searches here on this DisBoards. The only big caveat, I learned, is to only use them for hotels. There are quite a few complaints regarding plane reservations.

It is a third party...and you do pay for your full reservation up front.

Yes, only use them for hotels. Don't use them for plane tickets or park tickets (unless you are 100000000% sure of the EXACT dates you are going and even then, put the day before you expect to go on ticket). Also, make sure you use ebates to get cash back as well! I think they are at 5% cash back right now.
