I took my ten month old daughter last year and it wasn't so bad. Just leave plenty of time to adjust your schedule for diapers changes, cool downs in a/c, and rest. When baby fell asleep we slowed down and shopped or ate so she could rest. Some will disagree but a comfy stroller for baby is a must! Especially if you are traveling with helping hands. Also if you are staying at a hotel, don't forget to bring soap for washing bottles. We kept bottled water in the room, so we would always take a couple to the park and used that for mixing formula. Lastly, Usually you will be asked to park the stroller outside a restaurant, but if baby is napping, just ask the restaurant to bring in the stroller and they are usually accommodating. No need to wake the baby!
