Do people take babies on rides with them, and just hold them? Of course not thrill rides, but rides like Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Toy Story Mania, It's a Small World and Haunted Mansion? Or is the baby swap used for all rides? I've been twice but never had a need to know until now. Thanks for any replies.

Thank you for the replies! We are going as a family of 16 in May of 2016. Our daughter and son in law surprised (and thrilled) us at Easter announcing they are having a baby due in Nov. So, the youngest member of our group will be 6 mo. when we come. We have a lot to learn about Disney with a baby!

Disney with a baby isn't so bad as long as your are prepared, patient and flexible! We took our 9 mo old last October, and although it was definitely different than our pre-child touring, it was still fun and enjoyable!

I took my ten month old daughter last year and it wasn't so bad. Just leave plenty of time to adjust your schedule for diapers changes, cool downs in a/c, and rest. When baby fell asleep we slowed down and shopped or ate so she could rest. Some will disagree but a comfy stroller for baby is a must! Especially if you are traveling with helping hands. Also if you are staying at a hotel, don't forget to bring soap for washing bottles. We kept bottled water in the room, so we would always take a couple to the park and used that for mixing formula. Lastly, Usually you will be asked to park the stroller outside a restaurant, but if baby is napping, just ask the restaurant to bring in the stroller and they are usually accommodating. No need to wake the baby!

We just got back from a week with our almost 4 month old. It was great! He rode Winnie the Pooh, Pirates, Little Mermaid, Toy Story Mania, It's a Small World, etc....I just held him.

Our first trip to Disney was 3 yrs. ago and seriously we were so naïve (sp) I really thought we would walk out our hotel door and get on the rides. Thanks to finding the disboards before our trip, we went very well prepared. That is my plan for this trip too, learn all we can here from folks who traveled with babies and also large groups. All the comments and tips are very much appreciated. Thanks so much!

Disney also has baby care centers, where the parents can take babies in for a quieter feeding,or diaper changes outside of the super busy bathrooms, etc.

We are taking our six month old for the first time next week (and flying) - I'm excited and very nervous! Lol
