Five guests for Memories?

Hi all,

Just wondering if DFTW would allow ONE more guest for Memories. I saw someone who had nine guests, but I know that was an anomoly, and it was also a few years ago. There are five people in my immediate family, and they would be the only ones coming. I have not been able to find a legitimate answer to this question anywhere.

BF and I aren't engaged yet, but due to a multitude of traumatic family events going on in the past year we will need to do a courthouse ceremony in the next few months without the usual long engagement. Then maybe (depending on what DFTW allows or doesn't) we'd do something more "official"- aka more pomp and circumstance- with my family next summer.

I can't imagine paying an extra $3000 or more for one more guest than is allowed. Also, we'd want to do it on the Poly Beach, which means Memories for sure. If what we want is not an option we'll just wait to do a more fancy VR at some point down the line.

Thanks for any help.

They are very strict on the Memories guest limits. However, children under 3 don't count, and neither does your officiant, so if you have a family member get ordained online and marry you, that would be one way to get to 5 "legally". Good luck, and happy planning!

Unfortunately unless one of your family members is on Disney's approved vendor list for officiants they DO count towards your guest limit (at least in Escape weddings) so that wouldn't work either.

We actually would be having a family member be the officiant, but I have heard that they count as a guest.

I was just on the phone with my mom and we looked at Swolphin's weddings. I have gone back and forth about them before we were in serious-mode about this, but my mom had never seen it before. She really liked what she saw, especially because the guest count is pretty unlimited so we might be able to open it up to a few more people.

I finally found an email for DFTW after searching forever, so I asked about the fifth guest for Memories there. However, my mom did offer to give us a little money towards our day, so if she likes Swolphin I will probably just go for it since I'm not too picky. My only requirements are having the family at Disney together to see us exchange vows, having a beach ceremony, and having something affordable. (Okay, I think some people might see that as picky... ;))

Thanks for the help, though, y'all. :)
