What would you do during F&W?

So we are planning to go to Epcot on a Monday evening after a day at AK and nap time (for toddler and maybe me lol). We are doing an early breakfast at TH in AK and maybe grabbing a late lunch before we leave or at our rental. Planning on resting and then heading to Epcot. Would you eat at a TS (currently have a 8pm via Napoli)or just snack at the F&W festival and grab QS if needed? We are hoping to watch illuminations. I think my kiddo will love it!

How can you be at the F&W festival and NOT want to try as much of the offerings at the booths as possible? A no brainer, imo.

Yep, I did not make any ADR's when we are at Epcot. Too much to sample :)

If you are only going for 1 abbreviated eveing visit I would definitey snack at the booths. We love Via Napoli, but I think you need to make a choice. In your situation it would be the booths
Good Luck

It can get crowded at F&W at night and the lines tend to be longer. We like to go when the World Showcase opens for the day or just before noon and do our eating then. Being F&WINE, there also tends to be a lot of drinking going on so there is a possibility for rowdy or drunk guests. Your toddler might not like that.

We usually avoid weekend or holiday nights because they are the most crowded.

On a 9 day WDW trip during F&W we 'Graze Around the World' every afternoon/evening except for Sat. which gets insane crowds. All that ime we'll do Raglan Road once on Sat and Cape May once and that's it for TS. We're there for the variety and the concerts.

We love F&W and love sampling around the world so I would lean more towards doing that rather than a sit down meal. But... just know that you can't always find a spot somewhere to sit and eat while you're sampling so a lot of it would be done standing or walking around.

I agree with everyone else - SNACK until you're full.

Depending on when you're planning on eating lunch, and when you're planning on arriving at Epcot, I would recommend only eating a light lunch or snack beforehand. You will be surprised how fast you fill up on those food and wine booths. You want as much room as possible in your stomach, because it's sad when you pass a booth and there's something you'd love to try, but it makes you ill to think about putting another bite of food in your mouth!

We did several days at Epcot the last food and wine trip, and we never made it all the way around. It's a lot of food.

Thanks! We are going to do another 1/2 day later in the week but want to enjoy f@w a little too!

Actually, it's funny because we did eat at Via Napoli during F&W but ordered way too small of a pizza for the family (we went by the suggested serving size, big mistake), so even with salad and dessert we were still hungry. As we walked out of Via Napoli, we made a few stops at the booths.

The booths are great, but they will take quite a few $5-$8 items before adding up to a full meal. Plus, with so many members of the family, with the sometimes long lines at each booth, it may be a chaotic way to feed the family. So maybe a pizza first followed by dessert/snacks at the booths would be a good move.

We love Epcot's TS choices. However, we went during F&W last year and didn't book any so we could sample everything. I don't regret that decision.

Then eat some more is FW moto.

We ate a small resort cs meal the day of FW, have to save room for all the snacks.

We make the first pass and pick our faves from some of the booths, then we take a little break, walking, shopping, digesting. Then we hit a few more booth, finishing with a focus on desserts. The portions are small but once you've done 3 or 4 booths, the full factor sets in. Combine the experience with a bit of local beer and wine of the region , we have to pace ourselves and to add a full sit down dinner is a waste of both experiences. But to each his own!PS: we've gone peak time, night time, opening time, the lines move well, I've never found it to be too bothersome and you can tell which are the favorite booths!

8pm ADR with toddler - no way would that have worked for us.

And certainly not if we got up early for breakfast.

Unfortunately, traveling with a toddler will limit you.

I think you're better of just grabbing food as you go and no Park is better for that than World Showcase in Epcot....particularly during F&W.
