Alli and Cole's 08/13/2015 SBP Escape w/ F! DP - Updated 09/29 Professional Photos Up!!!

I can't remember if I posted here that before I found the Etsy cake topper I ordered one through another online store... Anyway I ordered it on February 2nd and in March (on the 7th I think) I emailed them asking when I would receive it. They told me it would ship out the next week. On March 13th a shipping label was created for my item... And then nothing happened. It never shipped. They never contacted me. I emailed them two weeks ago and heard nothing. I emailed them every day for the past week and still hear nothing so last night I filed a credit card dispute. Hopefully I'll get my $80 back soon! I'm so freaking annoyed with myself because when I went online to try and find more contact info for them (only an email is listed on their website) I found dozens of stories just like mine. If only I'd googled Fairytale Wedding Store BEFORE I ordered from them I'd never have placed the order in the first place. So fair warning to any of you reading this and spread the word to all your dis-bride friends this place looks like it has great Disney wedding cake toppers but it looks like a total scam. I only read one story of a girl who got her items and they were completely damaged and only mailed after she'd filed a claim with her CC company.

Hopefully I can save one of you ladies from going through the annoyance I'm stuck in right now.

I'm having major cake topper dilemma. I have the silhouettes - which i really like - was was thinking they may be too simple. I've ordered a new topper (below) which I quite like but I think it's going to be a major pain to travel with. I'm thinking about just using the silhouette at Disney and saving this one for my at home reception since there won't be much in the way of Disney touches there...

Has anyone else had a similar dilemma? Thoughts? I think I'm just over thinking everything at this point because there's not a whole lot to do except wait for time to pass at this point. I don't even have a dress fitting until the end of May. I still don't know if anyone other than our immediate families (and the one set of family friends who missed @TinkLoverSam's wedding because Disney told them it was the next day - I have made them promise not to believe the hotel again) are even coming. No one has responded or even acknowledged the invites. It's only 3 and a 1/2 months away who waits that long to make plans?!? Oh right - virtually everyone who isn't a Disney person! I gave them until June 13th to respond (a month BEFORE my cut-off with Disney) so that I have plenty of time to chase people - since my parents are moving across the country just in time for my sister to have a baby I'll have that to keep me occupied along with my fitting next month but until then it's just me having momentary panic attacks about minor details that really won't matter in the end.

We are just 97 days from the start of our epic three week long Disney Wedding/Honeymoon trip!!! We're finally in double digits!!! Time for the Double Digit Dance!:yay::yay::yay::cool1::cool1::cool1::dancer::dancer::dancer:

Just 103 days until our wedding!!!:bride:

Got my necklace for my mother-in-law back in the mail today! It's all fixed and looking good. I also got the new cake topper package but I had to run out the door to a doctor's appointment so I didn't even have time to open it up. I'll take a look when I get home and post some pictures. I have my last few purchases on their way or soon to be on their way and then it's just the waiting. Just three months and one week from tomorrow I'll be getting married!
Cole even (finally with much prompting) talked to the company about getting my ring re-treated to make it all perfectly black again and they said it will only take about a week so I'll get to wear it for a little while longer.
Speaking of Cole his aunts have all decided to throw me a bridal shower to welcome me into the family so this weekend I get to go to his youngest brother's high school graduation then next Saturday I'll have a bridal shower... Though they haven't told me where yet. I'm bringing @TinkLoverSam as reinforcements! It should be fun but I'm hoping they won't be put off by the fact that we don't have a traditional wedding registry. We bought our house last summer and it's jam packed with all our stuff and anything we were given as housewarming gifts already. The last thing I need is someone buying me a set of dishes or something. Honestly I'd be perfectly happy with no gifts. We have a honeymoon registry (a little controversial I know) as we'd rather put money towards making memories than collecting more crap in our house! When asked I told his cousin about our honeymoon registry but who knows what will happen. All I know is it will be a lot of fun.

So here's the cake topper... I actually really like it (except for the moon)

image.jpg image.jpg

I am thinking about putting navy and fuchsia pearls around the base and either putting shells on the moon or taking it off completely

Not feelin' the moon either. Wonder why it was even needed. Shells would be pretty on the base. Gosh wedding is getting closer!

What is the moon made out of? It kind of looks like plastic, but I might be wrong. Depending on the material, you could pretty easily cut it off with an Xacto knife.

Just 99 days now that it's after midnight here! There was also an option with an arch but I hated it equally.

It's plastic but it's also just glued in. The seller told me all the pieces are removable (just glued on) but she wouldn't sell me the topper without one of the "background" options :confused3

...by this point you'd really think my collection is complete but it's not quite yet!

Well when I got off work this morning at six am it was snowing which kinda made me feel like my summer wedding was a long way off... But by the time I got up I was over it because I had so many new things to show off.

Last week Cole's mom's necklace came back all fixed and pretty... In a completely destroyed box so I'll have to find something to put it in. It's her four boys birthstones in a "family tree" with their names around the outside. When lined up so the Cole is top right and his youngest brother is top left the birthstones all match up with the names.

I also got his Best Man's cufflinks in:

And the ones I ordered for my dad: (so freaking shiny!)

We got the picture book we made as our Guest Book (and by we I mean my sister and I haha!)

First Page (I used a bastardized version of this quote on our wedding website too):image.jpg My favorite picture ever from our Disneyland Trip:

It turned out pretty good. I used a mix of pictures of us in Disneyland and our E Pics as that's all I have. Our e Pics were just web quality so some are a little blurry but overall it turned out great!

Last but not least the hankerchiefs I ordered for our parents showed up... They are AMAZING!!! I love them so much and she included a card wishing us contratulations on our wedding/engagement and many happy years together which I found incredibly thoughtful... Plus she sent a present just for me <3
The dads (sorry I couldn't get a good picture right side up!)

Our moms:

And her present for me:

I've just ordered t-shirts and transfers for everyone and I'm still waiting on my custom hanger and luggage tags and then I am 100% done! (...maybe)

Oh, your guest book is so cute! I love it! The best man cufflinks are also really clever.

I missed it before, but hooray for double digits!!! :jumping3::bounce:

Thank you! I'm so excited it's three months and a day away! The best man works in radio and loves words and trivia so I thought they were so cute!

Love!!! Where did you get your MIL's necklace, Etsy? I'm thinking that would be a great birthday gift for my own mom....

It's from a website called Eve's Addiction. I've seen similar ones on Etsy but honestly most aren't as nice or won't let you customize as much. E's A gives you options from 3 stones to about 10 I think.
