November 2015....The countdown begins!!

I just found out that 11/6 is the first night of Osbourne Lights which I've never done and really wanted to do this trip. Looks like I'll be switching my AK and DHS days and ADR plans!

We will be there at the same time. this is only my second trip can you tell me more about the Osbourne Lights?? Is this something my kids would enjoy? When are they?

The best way to really explain the Osborne lights is to look them up on YouTube!!!! It's AMAZING and a Must Do in my opinion!!!!!! You won't be able to truly appreciate them until you are standing at the end of the streets of NY! If your kids like Christmas lights and music, then they'll LOVE them!!! Enjoy!!!

Hey we are in the same boat, 10/31- 11/6 we booked back in December in hopes that we could add free dining, love it when a plan comes together. First time at WL and we cannot wait either

That's so cool!

We held off booking until we knew our schedules would work so I was thrilled when I saw we got our first choice and booked the actual day Free Dining was released!

Checkin' in 11/13/15 ; goin' home 11/21/15 :sad:at CBR. We stayed at ASM w/ our 2 boys last March for 4 days. Now going back w/ 7 day tickets annnd bringing my parents! :mickeyjum

We went in the early 90's for 1 MK day so this will be a treat for all of us. Mom retires on 10/31, their anniversary is early Nov. dh BDAY IS 11/15, and our anniversary is 11/23 so we are packing in the celebrations! We happened to get free dining so I am hoping that this trip will be worry free for them. They're looking forward to staying on site, as my DH described being in the "Disney bubble" to them.

May 17th is our ADR day!

If it has not rained that day snow falls down at certain times and there are holiday snacks and drinks to buy and enjoy as you walk all around. There are Hidden Mickey's and a Halloween cat to search for. Every 20 minutes or something like that the lights dance to music. There is so much to see that both times we spent 2 hours. I almost forgot our last trip a few years ago there was an area where Goofy was available to take pictures with. It is absolutely incredible and I can't wait to experience it again.

11/6 is actually our HS day, but we planned to leave at 3 and go to AKL for dinner and animal watching. I am wondering if we should go back or stay for the lights now! I am not sure it will be such a big deal as we go yearly to this insane area of brooklyn that does amazing over the top lights and decorations. HMMM more things to decide before 5/3!!!!! Last trip we were there the second week of November and we were SO not in the Christmas spirit yet.

We are staying 11/20 to 11/23 @GF then switching to the Poly Studios from 11/23 to 12/2.
This will be our first trip during the Christmas season. :santa:

I'm so happy the Osborne Lights are coming back this year. :lovestruc

If you can swing it, I suggest trying to see the Osborne Lights :goodvibes I understand what you're saying about having a huge display close to you, but the OL are magnificent. We have a house by us that was on "The Great Xmas Light Fight" 2 years ago (TV show that was on TLC and moved to abc or cbs last year) and held the record for most lights on a house display in the world until someone in I think Australia outdid them a year or two ago, and it's gorgeous to see, but OL is still completely different and special :thumbsup2 Just a suggestion!

On another note if you don't mind me asking, where in Brooklyn are the lights you go see? I'm about 90 minutes from there and have cousins in Brooklyn. I'd like to ask them if they know about it :)

Dyker heights! It's next level crazy :). You can google it, there was also a documentary made but I haven't been able to find it to watch.

Where do you live? We are in queens

Thanks! I'll ask my cousins and google it too. I'm in Dutchess County (Poughkeepsie/Wappingers Falls) by Marist and Vassar Colleges.

I've stayed the weekend in wrapping ears falls, beautiful! I love the hudson valley

Lol I am leaving that typo. :)

My husband and I just did a practice run for tomorrow's ADR, everything set up. Everyone else doing them this weekend please share what you got! Hope it went well for you today or will tomorrow!

So excited, we will be at WDW for the first time to see the Christmas decorations!!! Our children think we are going n March 2016......won't they be surprised!!! I can do ADRs on the 18th, hoping for a BOG ressie.
Can anyone tell me how the weather is in November? Our dates are the 15th through the 21st. Thanks in advance.

Heading down with FD Nov 12-21! We had to change from a Pop standard room to AS Sports standard to get an additional day so we could get a full day at F&W and avoid the weekend crowds. I'm a little worried that the resort will be packed because you can't get a standard room only for those dates at AS Sports :scared: I hope I'm worried about nothing.

I get to make ADRs on Tuesday!!!! :jumping1: I'm up at 5:30 and usually off to work by 6:30. I'm wondering if I should get up at 5 so I am ready to make my ADRs at 6 and then head to work or if I should take a half day and go in late. We are at Disney all the time but I've never been concerned about securing ADRs until this trip. Thoughts?

Phew! We got all but one reservation. Funny enough we got CRT, BOG but not garden grill! I got a 6:50 but that will be too late I did a cape may earlier as a backup and will most likely cancel the late GG and look periodically for an earlier time mostly to save time at Epcot.
We codnt get rose and crown but I remembered it's because of people trying to get illuminations view. No big deal though!
I also made my pirates league, babysitting and family magic tour reservations. When I finished I cried! LOL what a sap!!! I think it was relieved and excited that i got every important thing and at every time we wanted!

I do feel really bad for people who don't know to call at 180 days etc. I know it's their fault for not researching but geeze it must stink to show up and not be able to walk into most restaurants. Then again y never know my friend walked up and got into CRT last year.

Now I have to wait until 90 days and do BOG breakfast and we are done. OH wait! the tips fats pass selection. Lol never ends but at least it's something to plan for an d look forward to.

Good for you :yay: Is it your first time doing BOG dinner? That's really the only one I'm nervous about, we've been quite a few times but really want it again for this trip. 21 days till I can make ADR's!
