"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

Question: We'll be there from 11/8-11/17 - does that mean MK will close early and we'll be booted from the park almost every other day during our stay?? And if so, how early do we have to leave by? I'll be jumping on making Be Our Guest reservations first once my 180+10 day window opens and want to be sure to plan it on a day when we'll be able to stay in the park until it closes as normal.

Also when does the castle become 'iced'? My daughter has been dying to be there for this so I'm hoping we don't miss it.

TIA =)

It closes at 7. This is one of the reasons park hoppers were a must for our trip. Once MK closes, we will be heading to HS or Epcot for a couple hours.

We always do park hoppers just disappointed the MK will be closed so many evenings during our stay. :(

We'll be staying 11/8 to 11/17 - which is likely to be the best day to go to this event (lower crowd wise). TIA!!

This might be a little off the subject, but since many of us will be visiting at the end of November or early December, I thought it might be worth bringing up... do any of you MVMCP vets decorate your rooms during your stay?

I'll be honest, if it's December, I have to have a Christmas tree lit up and decorated at my house. I'm thinking about shipping a smaller cheep one down that I can toss when we leave (not very green of me, I know). I looked at the Disney Floral and Gift site where they can do one for you, but $400+ for a tree is a bit much - even for Disney. I'm also thinking of bringing down the stockings for the family and loading those up sometime during the stay even though we leave to go back home on Dec 23rd. I know my wife will think I'm nuts when I tell her (I get it often), but if I'm going to combine Disney with Christmas, I got to go all out... right?

Does anyone have any good tips or hints about doing up the room? Am I going too far?

Please put us down for 11/10. 5th trip to Disney and our first this close to the holidays - daughter will be on :cloud9:

Talk me into MVMCP! We can either go 10/30-11/7 or 11/14-11/21
I have never been during Jersey week and crowds look better for 11/14 but I love MNSSHP, never been to Christmas Party...
DH wants to try something different and do MVMCP, but I just don't know.

If i plan on going to AK in the morning and go the party that night, and don't have park hoppers tickets, but do have a party ticket- will I be able to get in?

Yes. The party ticket gets you in for the party. You can usually enter the park at 4 just with the party ticket.

I'm not sure which party day i should go to during the first week of December. Either Dec. 1st or 4th. Going to both is too expensive for us. The 4th is my birthday but since it's a Friday i know it's going to be crowded.

i must have given the wrong date - we are going November 29th to the party not November 30 (I don't even think there is a party the 30th). I assume not but is that an annual pass discount date? May get AP but haven't decided yet.

Looking at the pics and reading the thread, I think DH may be right and this is the year we skip MNSSHP and try MVMCP

I don't think your going to far. We usually go for early October and people have their windows decked out with Halloween decorations and lights, it's cute. Never have been during the holiday season yet this will be our first but I'd assume many do it for Christmas too :)

Put us down for December 6th!

We'll be surprising DD with the tickets as we're coming for the DIS event, so she has no idea.

We are attending the party on November 12! Can't wait to see the decorations and special events...have never been there at that time of year!

Listened to the entire Holiday Wishes soundtrack today...oh boy at the end the music after Jimney says a wish in your heart makes me feel so good inside
